Has anyone tried hot yoga ?

As a fellow martial artist, I would recommend you at least try it. I go once a week to relax my body and mind after a hard week of training. Helps me recover and prep for the next week's load. Because I train hard (id like to think) the strength gains have been minimal. I'm lean as it is, but...

    Rubirosa's accountability thread

whats stopping you? worst case, do mirror work and shadow box (shadow karate?). get fluid in your technique and make it second nature to your body. i know where you're coming from though. it's hard when you can't actually see the fruits of your labor. i didn't (and usually dont) restrict...

    Career Path and Financial Independence?

squirrels, you are one negative dude at the moment. i can literally feel it reading your ****. seen you do much better in the past (while back), things must not be going your way lately. i'm sure you have had ideas, you just disregard them as poor. everything is a learning experience dude, in...

your diet isn't going to get any better if you don't plan it out. i know it's a *****, but it has to be done. simply 'balancing' **** out wont cut it. it's up to you though. if you want to half ass it, you'll get half ass results. btw, are we talking kyokushin here? cool stuff.

Training mma, how do I *not* gain weight?

if you're training MMA a few days a week as well as lifting... without any major tweak to your diet (seeing as you've been 165 for a while) ... you're more likely to lose weight.

Who here does Mixed Martial Arts?

Currently doing BJJ(gi and no-gi), Muay Thai, and Boxing. Did Ninjitsu previously, but I found a lot of it impractical and too traditional to translate to real life. I want to eventually get some wrestling in... but no time for that right now :(. As for MMA not being helpful on the streets...

    Martial Arts Question

"the attacks and defenses are intended to inflict the most pain possible on the opponent in the least amount of time. Groin strikes, headbutts, and other efficient and potentially brutal attacks are emphasized." That's what I've come understand about it. If that's the type of defense you're...

    Martial Arts Question

Do Muay Thai/kick boxing and some grappling. From my experience it's been the most pratical combo.

    cardio question

Thanks for this, was about to make another thread to ask. On another note, is there a significant difference between jogging for 20-25 minutes as compared to walking for 45-1 hour? I'd perfer to jog, but if it's going to save me a substantial amount of hard earned mass, I'll walk.
