Tips 'n tricks and other bullsh|t

This is what I've been trying to say in some of my posts, such as MidwestFreek's "so fresh and clean" tip. Most people on this site are way too concerned with tips, tricks, and techniques. These are not the keys to being successful with life or with women. Being a DJ is a state of mind, an...

    Navy Seals Training Program

So? I'm way more concerned about preparing myself for BUD/S than I am hypertrophy. Regardless, I'm still a big guy. I currently weigh 221 pounds.

    Navy Seals Training Program

I completed this workout a long time ago. You think thats tough? Check out LT Stew Smith's book "Official Guide to Navy SEAL Fitness" and try his "12 Weeks to BUD/S" workout. The posted workout (basically the BUD/S Warning Order) is a cakewalk compared to the Lieutenant's routine. I have the...

    Shaving Legs

It's definitely different if you're an athlete. In my teenage years I was a fanatical road cyclist but I'm a little too big now to be competitive. I fight MMA now, I have two professional fights under my belt. I shave my legs for a fight and expect the other dude to do the same. Imagine...

Freek Says: So Fresh and So Clean

Re: Re: Re: Freek Says: So Fresh and So Clean You're getting ahead of yourself here. I made no claims about attracting women. If you're happy with what you wear, wear it regardless of current fashion trends and what people think. According to some of the "masters" on this site, being a...

    Need a boxing routine

Your boxing gym will take care of your punching ability. Don't worry about it. You can improve handspeed with technique and proper training, but you have your limits. Speed is genetic.

Freek Says: So Fresh and So Clean

That's what I said. Keep yourself clean, keep your clothes clean. Nothing more. It's troubling to see how much some of you people obsess over clothes and fashion. Leave that to the women.

Freek Says: So Fresh and So Clean

Yeah, I got something. Don't worry about what you wear so much. Bathe yourself, keep yourself clean and practice good hygiene. That's all there is to it. The clothes don't make the man, the man makes the clothes.

Everything you need to know about martial arts part 2

KK - show me a top fighter that doesn't do plyometrics. About sprinting, there's a reason why I separated sprinting intervals from jogging or running. Because sprinting is anaerobic and running/jogging is aerobic. Fighting is anaerobic in nature. It's not just "whatever you can do to get the...

Everything you need to know about martial arts!

Knockout King - My apologies, I didn't notice it said "2003", I thought it said "2004". Regardless, in the early days of fighting in Brasil, fighters called themselves "jiu jitsu fighters" or said that they "fought vale tudo", meaning they fought with no rules. This wasn't addressed to...

Working out More then once a day??

I'm just a big guy. I come from a big family. I'm 6'1" and 229. I cut to 205 pounds for fights. But of course I have to maintain an above average daily caloric intake to maintain size when I'm not training for a fight, but it's not that bad. I like eating. :D

Working out More then once a day??

madgame - I'm not a bodybuilder. Believe me, I and my trainers know what we are doing. I'm a (admittedly new) pro fighter and I have a fight coming up in about 2 months. As far as mass/strength goes, I weighed 229 this morning and I don't have problem throwing people around.

Working out More then once a day??

I am doing three a day workouts right now. In the morning I hit the weights, noon is boxing and kickboxing, and the evenings are for jiu jitsu and wrestling. It's not easy, but it's not killing me either. It all depends on your goals.

The Realm of The Real Spirit

Poço feito, BBB. I agree with you for the most part. I give when I can, but for the most part I seek to improve myself through jiu-jitsu and thaiboxing (and of course wrestling and boxing), not just for myself, but for my parents as well. I can make a living with my fists, and at some point...
