Well, honestly, I was going to make breakfast but I woke up late and she had already had some cereal. I kind of feel bad because my brothers and sisters who don't live with us sent gifts and stuff, probably expecting me to do lots of stuff too. I feel like I leech off my parents (by getting free rent), but maybe I should have done something more.

Still, I figure she was expecting it like every year. Instead, I'm going to make her some lunch on Wednesday when she has no idea (and is not expecting it).

I got her a card today.

My Mom passed away a few years ago...but I am a Mom, so I can tell you what my kids did for me.

My 7 year old made a card for me, woke up early and climbed into my bed...kissed my forehead to wake me up and I was greeting with a HUGE, adorable grin and a "Happy Mother's Day!" She gave me the card signed by all the kiddos. She said "I'll be right back...don't get up!". She and her sister brought me home made waffles and coffee in bed. When I went downstairs the house was immaculate...they cleaned, did all the dishes...the works. And they haven't fought with each other once so far. I always tell them that all I ever want for mother's day, my birthday or Christmas is for them to clean and not fight. :D

I have such AWESOME kids!
