Agreed. If I'm going to drop over a grand on a suit, I'm going to have it tailored and tailored to fit a nice pair of shoes at that. To me, wearing tennis shoes with a suit says "don't take my suit too seriously"....which really conveys "don't take me too seriously" and chicks won't.
