"In truth, the risks are very low. To the extent that they exist at all, they exist in the form of regular sex with a woman who has HIV. I mean regular sex. Like hundreds of times, preferably over years. That’s how a male gets HIV from a woman in the US.

Your chances rise slightly with every encounter with an HIV positive partner, so if you are having sex 100’s of times with an HIV positive woman, you risk starts going up. Your risk from a one time or casual encounter with even a known HIV positive female is nearly zero. Your risk from a woman with unknown status is even lower.

These folks like our commenter like to go on an on about how condoms don’t prevent HIV. Well, technically it is true. There were some studies in which serodisocordant couples (one had HIV, the other did not) were followed for ~5 years. Some used condoms all the time, others sometimes, others never. There was significant risk to the females in the never use category, some risk to the females in the occasional category, and low risk to the females in the always category.

There was no risk to the males who used condoms. Of the males who never used condoms with their HIV positive partners, only 20% were HIV positive after 5 years and 100’s of sex acts. You can see right there how hard it is for a guy to get HIV from a woman in the US.

If condoms were such a big risk to women nevertheless, we would expect to see some women in porn getting HIV from men using condoms. Not one case has yet been reported.

If HIV is such a risk to men from having sex with women, we should be seeing some infections in porn. Not one man has caught HIV from a woman in porn yet, even though for decades, most scenes did not use condoms and to this day, many still do not.

It’s so hard to get HIV from a woman in the US that most guys should not waste time worrying about it. If you regularly have sex with women who shoot dope, you have more to worry about. If you have a regular partner, you might want her to get tested if you don’t know her status, as regular sex with an HIV positive woman over 100’s of acts is somewhat risky.

It’s always nice to know people’s status. I know mine. It’s negative. I’ve been tested. A few times.

Males get HIV infection in three ways.

Gay sex. Usually receptive anal sex. Other acts and positions are much less risky.
Sharing needles with illegal drug users. Don’t do it.
Heterosexual sex. The number of cases is so small that I would almost say don’t worry about it, but not quite.
All these Black and Hispanic guys with HIV who are giving it to women in their communities are getting it by gay sex and sharing needles. With the Black guys, there is a lot of down low gay sex and some needle sharing. With the Hispanic guys, it’s almost all needle sharing."

Hepatitis C, another disease that goes along with needle-sharing, is a more realistic risk from unprotected sex than HIV.

HIV comes from Monkeys (back in the 1900's) in Africa

Alot of hetero female have HIV in Africa due to rape etc... ''why worry about something that can kill you in months while soo many things can kill you in a day'' (Blood Diamond movie)

The gay having more HIV is also a myth. However, they are sex rabbits (20 guys a week) especially in the village and since anal sex is the number 1 reason for HIV all around, because of the blood involved (tearing anal from the woman or man)... that's increase your odds and had rule ''no gay donator'' put in place.

In USA, it's likely due to an accident (needles in a hospital for a nurse), to risky sex (assault) to risky behaviour (drugs)

HIV terrify people but now its really manageable and yes low transmissions (under 0.3%)... I am much more scared of other ''disease/STD'' with no treatement that comes back. If you check history of the person/anal with condoms or don't do drugs you would be fine.

I disagree with these conclusions. These conclusions could be dangerous as guys go out here screwing chicks "raw" thinking that HIV infection is only for gay sex......and then wake up with their dyck burning off or some sort of HIV infection late down the line.

If you are having RAW SEX with anybody or coming in contact with anybody's blood in some capacity.....you are exposing yourself to the HIV infection if the person is infected.

If you use condoms, your risks are virtually zero (no matter the sex position or the gender of the sex partner) and that's the only time your risks are virtually zero.

Hep C isn't listed as a lethal condition, but I happen to know a guy who is dying of liver cancer, which the doctors have blamed on him having Hep C for a long time.

I was born in 85 at the height of the HIV/AIDS epidemic. When reading about it from various sources I was reading how people in the homosexual community were dying from it like flys with in weeks and months. A few years. Fast forward the 90s till now and it seemed like more and more people who had contacted the diseased were living longer with out medications. Sure there were some questionable medications available, probably AZT, which could be more harmful then the "virus" itself. Which I think killed more "HIV victims" then the medical establishment wants to admit. Maybe its because we all have different immune systems, but nowadays you can be HIV positive and not know it and not show signs of ill for a decade or more.

It seems when it first hit its peaks, when these victims were told they had a deadly virus they died quicker as if the placebo effect or nocebo effect was causing their death? I dunno seems strange

OP is correct. It's almost unheard of for a hetero guy to contract AIDS.

There was a concerted public relations effort to intentionally convince the public that "anyone can get AIDS". The reason was to secure more funding for AIDS research.

An aside: if memory serves, in the beginning of the AIDS outbreak there was a gay flight attendant that was referred to as patient zero. He was responsible for a large percentage of early AIDS cases. He knew he had it and continued to have sex with as many other gay men as possible. And as a flight attendant, he was always in different cities, causing it to spread geographically. A bizarre version of a serial killer.

It is highly unlikely that you will get HIV as a hetero male sleeping with a Hetero women. When I last got tested the woman told me your over 50 times more likely to get HIV from anal sex. The odds of getting HIV from a Herero woman are extraordinary. From memory I think it was something like 1 in 100,000, might have even been more.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't wrap up though. There are other nasty STD's and an elevated risk of pregnancy, even if you pull out.

It may feel better, but I sure as hell am not raising a kid from a ONS.

It's rife in the gay community because they have a lot of unprotected anal sex.

Geez man, where are you guys getting your information?

There is no such thing as you can just fvck a chick raw and have no chance of catching HIV because it's heterosexual activity. You can catch HIV from ANY unprotected sexual penetration activity (taking it in the a.ss, fvcking in the a.ss, or fvcking in a vagina, with a chick or with a guy) if you are fvcking an infected person. It's the myth that HIV is only spread through homosexual activity, that is a damn myth.

Here's the facts once again

- When a condom is used during penetration........no MATTER what type of sex it is (heterosexual, homosexual, pansexual, bisexual, whatever).......your chances of catching HIV from an infected person is virtually zero.

- When a condom is not used during penetration........no MATTER what type of sex it is (heterosexual, homosexual, pansexual, bisexual, whatever)......your chance of catching HIV from an UNINFECTED person is virtually zero.

- When a condom is not used during penetration........no MATTER what type of sex it is (heterosexual, homosexual, pansexual, bisexual, whatever)......your chance of catching HIV if the person is INFECTED goes up.

Because you don't know who is infected and who isn't infected, by using a condom any time you have sexual penetration, you are taking your risks of catching HIV down to virtually zero.

Could you cite this source? Everywhere that I've read says your chances of catching HIV goes up if you are screwing (or getting screwed by) an infected person without a condom on.

Doesn't matter if you are man or woman, hetero or homo, if there's sexual penetration without a condom being used with an infected person....my sources say your chances of catching it goes up.

Over here in the black community, black women from what I understand are leading the country in STDs (all sorts of STDs). I believe they are getting it because as I talk about on this forum, black women do fvck a lot of thugs and many of these thugs go in and out of jail. While in jail, the thugs are fvcking other men RAW with no condom, which increases their chances of catching HIV. Then those same thugs come out and screw black women RAW with no condom, passing the stuff onto them.

Obviously condoms r best. Having said that I've had sex with dozens of women a lot of them being crazy s**** who were bound to be whoring around. Never caught a damned thing. However I've only done anal a couple of times in LTRs. Asian girl specialist now and their front entrances are tiny anyway

HIV is bad but I believe there is far worst cause STD.

Now you can live with HIV due to drugs and its transmission low, any health specialist or your regular guy who std check you will tell you... condom is basically 100% covering you and if you avoid drinking the fluid you go.

In France, they are now using HIV injection to stop Brain degenerescence (alzeihemer, brain failure, etc...), they did it once on a 11 years old kid who brains was dying.... it worked. He can have a normal life now....

Those are not actual HIV virus... Well it is, but it does not cause AIDS and it is not pathogenic in the normal sense. I read about it, they modify the HIV virus and use it to kill cancer cells. The HIV virus infects cancer cells or cells with disease and destroy them. HIV virus normally targets T-Helper cells... The T-helper cells which are immune cells related to acquired immunity. The cells have receptors which the virus can bind to and identify, and it infects these cells specifically. However, if you scramble the HIV virus so that it thinks cancer cells are T-Helper cells, then it instead targets the cancer cells to kill cancer. Kind of cool, and one of the more promising treatments as they have actually cured Stage 3 and 4 terminal cancer cases with this treatment.

From the researchers: "The virus has been engineered so that it can't cause the disease anymore but it still retains a program so that it will now attack cancer cells. Each call can kill more than 1,000 cancer cells"
