Definitely. It happens with every democratic candidate. Since most media naturally leans left, you'll see a lot of pedastalizing of the top democratic nominee.
The media does not lean left.

Most of this country has a screwed up political axis. Democrats are not liberal. There is a false dichotomy between what mainstream media considers "left" vs. "right."

None of the mainstream media outlets are "progressive liberal." They lean towards free-market, neoliberal economics, socially liberal policies, and hawkish foreign policy. Again, Democrat =/= progressive liberal. Democrats in full context are a centrist party.

Anyone who thinks outlets such as MSNBC and CNN are liberal should get a glimpse at how ruthless they are to progressives like Bernie Sanders. Chris Cuomo used the phrase "punish success" in and interview with Bernie Sanders four times in one sentence.

Speaking of Bernie Sanders, he is not a "socialist" in the true definition of the term. He is considered a liberal Democrat reminiscent of FDR back when this country created the strongest Middle Class in the history of the world.

There is a huge problem with media on "the right." Right-wing outlets continue to paint Democrats as socialists, which is far from the truth. In reality, right-wing propaganda is closer to fascism than any other ideology. Democrats are poor socialists, considering they haven't prosecuted any Wall Street bankers (after they bailed them out), they've privatized schools and government, they've expanded our visions of imperialism in the Middle East, and have yet to get money out of politics. Wall Street and special interests love Democrats almost as much as Republicans.

The Republican party's political position has shifted so far to the right it's a wonder their voter base hasn't realized it yet. Despite 40 years of corporate socialism, tax cuts for the super-rich, and literally subverting democracy through redistricting, voter suppression, and purchasing politicians, it's a wonder they are still a viable party. In 2016, not one of the GOP Presidential Candidates have given any policy to deviate from their 40 year plan of tax cuts for the rich, war, and drumming up anger over xenophobia and culture wars. There really is little difference between any of the GOP candidates, much like there is little difference between Clinton and Trump.

People need to turn off the TV and do a lot more homework in the realm of politics. It's even worse than it seems. Both parties back politicians that are completely disconnected from their voters.

Try googling "extreme right" versus "extreme left" in the news section and you will see the term "extreme right" used at an unbelievable rate compared to it's counterpart.

This shows the ridiculous media bias. Hell even defending your nation from terrorist invaders these days is considered extreme right.

Welcome to the tyranny of the left, no views allowed except one. And your nation will be overrun because anything but the elimination of your people is considered extreme right ideology by 90% of the media.
"Terrorist invaders" is extreme right ideology. Terrorists are grown and developed by the U.S. government. Domestic terrorists come from economic and political disenfranchisement. Foreign terrorists come from imperialist foreign policy (invading other countries for boogeymen that don't exist).

The only tyranny is listening to a government's idea of terrorism, when that government has a perpensity to lie to its population to expand imperialism across the globe.

Just like everyone in the District of Columbia, including sitting and former US Senators and former Secretaries of State.

THINK!
Correct. There are no liberals in the U.S. government. However, there are over 500 congressmen that are sympathetic to corporations and special interests. Explain how that is considered "extreme left."

Who cares what they are called? Right-left, conservative-liberal, democrat-republican?

Every one of them along with most of the civil service, lawyers and consultants that support them are interested in one thing - remaining in power and running the system for their benefit and the benefit of their donors at public expense.

If there are no liberals in the US, there are no conservatives either. There are only people working the system to their advantage. This is why the founders designed the federal government to be limited and moved it to a swamp.

"The right" makes the claim that the media leans left. That is nonsense. The media is corporate.

Correct, but it was the "conservative" justices of the Supreme Court that ruled money is speech, further opening up the floodgates to corrupt campaign financing. It was already there, but it is only going to get worse.

The Federal government isn't the problem; the two-party system with corrupt campaign financing is. Though not perfect, other countries have figured this out. Limited Federal government doesn't work and never did work. The Federal government is the only entity strong enough to contain capitalism.

Contain capitalism? Bwahahaha!

Capitalism does not need to be and cannot be contained. It's a description of economic activity. You can have state capitalism (fascism, communism, socialism) You can have market capitalism. Or you can have some combination of the two. Since the end of feudalism, there has never been anything else.

You want to contain something? Contain crony capitalism.

.......Capitalism always need to be contained. Don't you read history? Unfettered capitalism leads to social unrest. Would you like a revolution? Would you like famine? Would like you like a third world war?

We got the New Deal because of capitalism. We have social security, medicare, public highways, and all social programs because of capitalism's failures.

Crony capitalism or corporate socialism? Which one are you talking about?

Where has there ever been 'unfettered capitalism'? Certainly not pre New-Deal America. Certainly not pre-Revolutionary France. And the only famines I know of are the induced ones made by so-called Communist governments in Russia and China. Name for us a capitalist induced famine, just one.

I am also very interested in how capitalism will foment a Third World War. Since both prior ones were among governments and for political reasons and current wars are not initiated by corporations. Enlighten us won't you?

How do you think governments get hijacked by far-right ideologies?

It doesn't get hijacked by far-left ideologies. Social democrats are anti-statist.
So are capitalists. They just have different donors and benefactors.

If you build a big enough and powerful enough 'government', it will be used badly - expensively and badly at that. I'm not an anarchist. I'm not even a civil libertarian. But I do know history and I spent a fair amount of time in DC over my career.

No one in US federal government or that wants to be in federal government is 'anti-statist'. They want to use the state for their ends. That those ends are antithetical to those governed (citizens, voters and taxpayers) makes no difference to those in power.

In my opinion journalists are often p*ssballs to begin with. Writers in general are snarky, useless, jealous haters (tailor made for liberalism). That's my explanation as to why they lean left. This is easily explainable.

What is NOT explainable, is why masses of people listen to them. I think the average IQ level is just lowering. Plus, we are fat and lazy, making it worse.

It has nothing to do with the size of the government. There are "small" governments that are significantly more oppressive than big governments of European countries.

No one in US federal government or that wants to be in federal government is 'anti-statist'. They want to use the state for their ends. That those ends are antithetical to those governed (citizens, voters and taxpayers) makes no difference to those in power.
That's because it is profitable to do so. We get the government we elect. Government is just an extension of the value system of its people.

The best bet for this country is to vote Sanders and primary all sitting Democrats out of office. The Republican Party is way too far gone.
