Something I like to add in the Intelectual Improvment section. Instead of reading a book, you could read the paper. Depends which you prefer.
Now there's loads of papers out there for different levels of abilities. If you are intelligent enough, you would be reading a broadsheet newspaper like the Daily Telegraph, The Times or Finanical Times (UK version). Washington Post or New York Times. (USA Version). It's nice to keep update with everything happening in the World and it gives a good impression of yourself. Yes, I read the Telegraph and sometimes the Finanical Times but not only the impression, it does your English good. You could strike up a conversation with a girl from something intresting you have read. Don't talk politcal or anything like that.
Now I would avoid newspapers that invovle Porn (big turn off), swearing or any kind of silly Celebrity gossip. No need to name them. (Not offensive if you read any those). Remember I am talking in public areas not home!.
