So me and the lads hit our favourite bar at 9.30pm. As usual, its packed out and the talent is quite good.

We head straight to the bar and get some drinks and mingle between ourselves. My wing and my good friend are in there already and I suggest we approach a set to warm up.

We, as per usual, do a lap of the bar area and have a look at what we can find. Talent is good tonight but we dont approach yet.

We move position nearer to the front door of the venue and chill there for a while. We spot a 2-set on their own, I signal that Im gonna go over but they seem deep in conversation so I wait... Then when they seem like that serious conversation is over I get myself ready, look over once again but... they get their jackets and leave. Crap.

So anyway, the talent is hotting up and were having a blast. A 2-set, HB7.75 (to me anyway! She was 18, really young and innocent looking and just looked so cute!) and HB4 stand right beside us. I ask the lads what they think, theyre like 'Yeah ok - but we're going soon' so I open just to warm up.

SILVER: Hey girls, wheres a good place to go after this?
HBs: Well blah blah blah
SILVER: Oh right cool, im not really from round here (lie) - so you suggest (club name here) then?
HB7.75: Yeah
SILVER: Why?
HB7.75: Oh coz the dancefloor is massive
SILVER: And the floor is (other club name here) small then is it?
HB7.75: Yeah and really packed.
SILVER: Cool, so you dance then?
HB7.75: Well when I have a few drinks in me I do, yes.
SILVER: Well youll have to teach me then!
HB7.75: lol
SILVER: So where are you girls heading to?
HB7.75: (X Club)
SILVER: Oh right so well head to (Y Club) then! lol
HB7.75: lol (dont think she 'got' this one! lol)

While in set my wing distracts the HB4, she turns out to be a really nice girl. I lie AGAIN(!) saying im from out the country, my friend is from dublin and my other friend is from somewhere out the country too! Gotta stop that...

We hit another club and theres nothing much going on. Try to make a bit of EC with some ladies etc... Spot a blonde HB9 sitting down and take a mental note.

We go upstairs to the club and chill out, my wing opens the HB9 and talks with her for a while, I hold off. We exit the club.

We hit the final club and pay in. I head straight to the bar and try to order a drink. Behind us stands HB7.75 and HB4 - on their own (God some guys here just cant see an opportunity when its right in front of them lol!). I dont make contact... yet.

We walk around and spot some talent but dont open any sets - its hard to open in this particular club - lots of mixed sets and dodgy characters!

Its time to re-open the HB7.75 and HB4.

SILVER: Hey I remember you girls!
HBs: lol
SILVER: Wow, youre right this place is cool.

My wing now distracts HB4...

Guys Im not gonna type out the WHOLE conversation, we must have talked for like 2.5 hours!!! I was surprised I managed to keep it going that long and was pretty happy with that. I teased HB7.75 about being stuck-up/posh, having a sneaky smile, being fidgety etc... She seems ti love it. Throw in some C+F. Ask her where shes going on holidays this year TWICE (Bulgaria of all places!) - shouldve said that Im coming too and ill fit in her suitcase if I curl up like this (motion a curl... lol).

Anyhow I ask her to teach me to dance, shes quite shy and says she cant. I push again. Eventually I grab her hand and bring her to the floor (we're standing right beside it anyway!) we chat and dance a bit. Go back to standing. More chat. Go back dancing - then some guy grabs her and dances with her for about 5 minutes - i brush it off and her friend is signalling to me something like 'Aww, dont worry, sorry for that' I just smile and do my thing lol. My wing suggests I go grab her off the guy but I dont want to cause a scene.

The girls go to the ladies room and me and my wing walk around. We spot them again in a different location - we turn and walk away (damn that WAS obvious!). After a while we go back to the original position and the girls are back. Time to re-open...

We talk a while more, and dance (I think)!

Anyway I isolate her to the couches in the corner of the club (thank god theyre free tonight) and we chat more. i ask to look at her phone and show her mine (well it did cost me 370 euro! I want to show it off now and again... lol Nokia 6230i for all the techies...).

Then the moment of truth...

SILVER: So, give me your number! (smile)
HB: Aw, I can never remember my number (smile)
SILVER thinking to himself: Ah crap, all this time and not even a no!!!
SILVER: Oh ok, no probs (smile)

I get up and walk to HB4 and my wing without telling her - this is a freezeout! She gets up and follows. I then do the Photo Routine with a difference using my mobile showing my wing & HB4 pics of my dog etc. She tries to have a look in but I subelty ignore her efforts and show the two guys more pics.

After a while its 2.30 and closing time, before the music stops the girls tell us that they have to go home. My wing says goodbye to them both, I do too. My wing hugs HB4 - I stand there not acknowledging HB7.75 (NOT in a spoilt brat kinda way tho!).

They exit - Im disappointed!

What happened here guys, I mean I threw in some C+F, teased her, slightly negged her, made her laugh, made her dance, teased he ron her accent (go on say something! lol) talked with her for 2.5 hours(! lol) etc!?

PS - Before you say CHALLENGE - walk off a bit more etc. I dont think it would have made a difference as she seemed to be having a great time anyway.

Maybe she was just the shy type... i dunno. Im also disappointed about not opening more sets, i was just having a great time i didnt wanna! lol. There is this HB8.75 there that Ive liked (and so has the whole male pop. of my town!) for a while. Wanted to open her but she was sitting in a corner and it looked like it coulda been a really awkward place to open... next time.

Anyway more next week.

Your freezeout came off as insecure, IMO. You should have asked to see her phone, then punched your number into it, as if it were nothing. I do this all the time and it's the $$$.

you should have tired to get her # @ the first club, definitely spent too much time on trying to get this chick. when you go talk to women have a goal/plan. if that goal/plan was to get her # from the beginning, then thats what you should have been focusing on. if you dont get it, oh well, move on. dont think because you spend countless hrs. talking to a chick that shes going to feel pitty and give you her #. you can make 2mins. talking to her just as effective as 2.5hrs

Pity? Um... pity is the last thing I look for in a woman.

Some guys dont understand - we were having FUN I wasnt holding her there against her will - she wanted to be there and I wanted to be there.

Somethimes its OK to talk to a girl for longer than normal...

yes, i did take "pity" out of context. i wasn't there so i don't know how everything actually went down. what i was trying to say is.. by reading your post it seems as if you were "excepting" to get her # just because one of the factors were that you spent 2.5hrs talking with her, as in, "i spent all this time with you, and i can't even get your #?", and now that you didn't, your disappointed. all am saying is, if your plan was to get her # from the beginning thats what you should have done, and the rest of them 2.5hrs could have been used to open more sets. i highly doubt that if you asked for her # first and didn't get it, that you would have still spent 2.5hrs talking with her.

You didn't lead enough. You were with her for HOURS and you seemingly didn't escalate kino enough to make out, take her home etc. Whatever is going to happen, you have to make it happen. You have to know what you want and pursue that goal (make out, lay etc). She will not lead that (only very drunk girls will on occasion).

She was expecting you to do something, she would have bailed on you way before then if she wasn't to some degree interested.

Asking for the number in a club after 2.5 hours of talking is a waste of time. She is there to get something happening there and then, that night! If she had of given you the number she would have flaked anyway, that's what happens with numbers from clubs. Chicks mentally seperate what happens in clubs from "real life". They do things they wouldn't usually do in clubs/on a night out. They don't want to be reminded of it in their real life. e.g. "I was drunk", "it just happened", "I was just having fun" etc. I.e. they rationalize to themselves that they're not a slvt by seperating what happens on a night out (e.g. a ONS, picking up a random guy, whatever) from "real life".

Don't go to clubs trying to get numbers, go with the mindset of getting some action that night. Escalate and determine her IL early on. Do not spend hours with one girl. Move on until you find one with a high enough buying temperature to get some action.

Good advice. Ill take a note of the mistakes I made and amend them next weekend!

From now on, every FR of mine will include a SUMMARY of the whole thing so I can track successes/mistakes

PROS:
- Approached a two set
- Conversed for 2.5hrs (great for my social skills)
- Made the HB laugh
- Danced with HB
- Teased & used light C+F which went down well

CONS:
- Stayed with HB way too long
- Should have made myself more scarce
- No K/close
- No N/close
- Should have opened a LOT more sets
