But try Adobe Imageready. Not photoshop, the OTHER one that comes with it.

Why not Photoshop? All you have to do is open it up, then resize it...

Image > Image Size

Avatars for most forums are around 80-90 pixels wide and long.

Imageready is made to handle animations. While you can use photoshop, you have to take the gif apart and resize and then put it back together. And photoshop only reads the first frame (static picture). So you can see the problem. I'm not sure whether CS2 (newest version) still does this, but I tried it in elements 2 and 7.0 and it didnt work.
