Anyone know how to lose 5 pounds in a week?

Well two weeks ago I just got back surgey and anyways the doctor says I cant lift nothing heavier than a carton of milk. So I said alright, but the thing is since the surgey I feel as if im gaing weight. So i wanted to know if anyone here knows how to lose a couple pounds a week? if someone knows please tell me. I feel like crap since I cant exercise and im pretty sure than I have been gaining weight. I would love to lose at least 5 pounds a week but not sure on how I can do this since I cant really exercise besides walking. So help me out please.

i went on a liquor binge one time and lost 5lbs in a week. kind of hard to put on any weight when you're puking and crapping all the time.

If you have come out of surgery then cardio is probably not a good idea. Cutting carbs will get you fast results, but as speedo said, it will come at an expense. It will really kill your energy levels, may cause some muscle loss and, like me, could cause depression and emotional sensitivity. Losing 5lbs per week is surely not safe and it will probably be water weight and muscle you lose while your body stores fat and make you worse than when you started.

I did try carb cycling with some good results though and no noticeable muscle loss. Only setback is that it took time and I'd estimate only 1-2lbs lost per week at the very most and that includes dropping water weight.

Eat less caleries than you spend and you'll lose weight. Though 5 lbs a week is a bit high without exercise. You might also consider ECA (google it), but I'm not sure how safe it would be for someone in your condition.
