I recall reading something advising DJ's not to tell your girlfriend you Love her, because it leaves nothing left to strive for in the relationship or something? Whats the rule on that? should you wait for her to say it first? does it matter? or should you be together awhile before you bring it up?
Never tell her. Show her. If worst comes to worst when she says 'I love you', say something like 'I know', or 'Everybody does ^^,', or 'aww, that's sweet (kiss)'

dude thats terrible
if you actually love this girl dont be afraid to show it, but be realistic, dont think youre gonna be with this girl forever and plan to get married or anything, but you can still show her your capable of emotion. one warning though-ONLY SAY IT IF YOU MEAN IT. dont get trapped.
dude thats terribleI hope that was not directed at me, because you said the exact same thing basically.

You might think it heartless, but there IS strategy to love and romance. "I love you" is a card that can work for or against you, depending on when you use it. You can only use it once with a woman, and the earlier you use it the least powerful it will be. If you say "I love you" on the first date you are DONE. Don't say it to get her to sleep with you. Don't say it to get out of trouble. If this woman is in control of the relationship, wears the pants, don't say it or she will be holding ALL the cards. If she is the clingy type DON'T say it or she will cling for all tiem.
Basically when you're ready to marry the b!tch, then you say it. Until then you show it. Some english rapper called Dizzee Rascal has a song to this effect.
Yo If that girl know's where you stay thats poor
some ***** banging on your door what for
pregnant? what're you talking about this for
fifteen, she's underage thats raw
and against law 5 years or more
now she wants a score and half of a draw
that the kind of threat that you can't ignore
that ***** got you pinned down to the floor
but its your own fault you said three magic words (i love you)
when thats the one for the birds
when you said that she forgot other boys
its over you better start buying the toys
there was no intention in front of your wife
that she knows this that she's ending your life
its a real shame you got hacked by the *****s
its a real shame that kid probably aint yours
[CHORUS]
[Dizzee Rascal:]
That girl' some ***** ya know
she keep calling my phone
she dont leave me alone
she just moan and groan
she just keep ringin me at home
these days i dont answer my phone

Saying I love you either makes her too attached, or freaks her out. I'd hold off on "I love you" as long as I can.
SnowBlind77 - Buddy..take a look at your reply and tell me you were not even close to the same subject. You said basically the same thing.
Dude.....that's just terrible!

You both said to show it, so far so good, but snowblind put it in a time frame, whereas you didn't. Girls do hang on those kind of things, like you saying "i love you." So if you don't mean it, and the relation goes south, you have just hurt her more than neccassary. sometimes words speak louder than actions, at least to girls.

Whatever you do, DO NOT say it for the first time right after having sex. You'll be in the doghouse for so ****ing long.
