There are alot of threads like this, but I;d appreciate a personal answer. That being said here goes: I;m friends with a girl who;s friends with a girl that I find cute. Now naturally I want to approach this girl, however I pussied out so I asked my friend to introduce me to her (now is this in itself a bad approach or does it give u some level of social proof?). At lunch I had the oppurtunity to go up to the table where the two were sitting and I didn;t because of fear its so frustrating. I think the most frustrating part of my situation is that I took David D;s advice and became friends with 5 really hot intelligent girls, so I believe and want that level of women, but my fear stops me. So advice on the type of girl i should go for, conquering fear in this specific situation, and what to do when ur really not feeling the mack would be appreciated. Also I think over the summer since i didn;t sarge my confidence dropped, so could the fact that i still need to make my first approach of the yr be draining my confidence because i was out of the game. THANKS

ill be honest and say that you desinatly did chicken out and wanting to have a friend introduce you is a bad idea unless its "his idea" or you honestly had no way of meeting her yet... however i doubt this is the case and more than likely she already knows (women are very in touch with things (it would take years to get as good as they are at getting info on everyone)) i wasnt able to do ne sarging this summer myself but i have seen an increas in my confidence big time (i acctually start convos with people i dont know on a regular basis and arnt so fearfull of chicks, use kino unconsiously ect.) but just learn how to talk to people and dont get oneitis (i have that right now and it pisses me off) chick are not the world

First of all...shut up. You had your friend introduce you to her hot little friend, no harm in that. After the intial meeting its all on you to maintain your "status". Your number one job is not to f*ck anything up, which you will most likely do. Secondly, dont ask us what kinda of girl YOU should go for when its YOUR opinion, no need to be a tool. Thirdly, just go for it, you know this girl, take a shot and see where you end up. Set yourself a small goal so that when you accomplish it youll have a little confidence boost.

To me u sounded harsh and ignorant in your outlook sorry if i missed judged u and i didn;t mean to ask what kind of girls i should date i know that i wanta date hot smart ones, i was just frustrated and thought about lowing my standards for like the 30 seconds i wrote that letter. We good?

at lunch, i am going to just walk up to my friend and the hottie and i am going to hang out there . it is going to be great.

my friend will introduce me, i know she has probally already told the hottie who i am, and we will talk about blah blah and make jokes and eat lunch and i will ask her for her phone number before the bell rings.
