Scenesters are the people that label other people as:

Jock, Prep, Punk, Emo, etc.

I'm not REALLY like that, but everyone has to communicate in one way... so I'm going to use labels on people.

Well if you read about the Cheerleader who I keep making threads about... She cheers for varsity football... as a co-capt.... we go to different schools... and she wants me to go to her game... and we were formally VERY interested in each other, but we are now less interested, since I am/was AFC. okay

I like to be prep some days, emo/punk some other days. And she (obviously being a cheerleader) is preppy.

The first time we met, she was attracted to me... and i was being my emo/punk side.

pretty much after all the times i met her, i kept dressing in style (real style... not wannabe) and being preppy, which was probably why i was shy.

There's a placebo in my head that the way i dress... when im emo/punk... i shouldnt give a damn how i look -- and when im preppy... i'm way to self-consious!

She said she liked the way when i was very into punk/emo style... and yeah...

Do you think this is true... about how people dress...?

and since she said to go to her cheer thing, should i dress my emo/punk thing?

i don't want her to feel uncomfy cuz i wear black band shirts, metal studded belt, and black nail polish... but scratched off a bit (or it looks gothic)

and since her cheersquad is going to be there.. (obviously preppy) i dont want to "not fit in"

YES I KNOW THESE THINGS ARE MINOR THINGS! BUT I JUST WANT TO KNOW!

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

do whatever u want to do.

A friend of mine was talking to a girl, he had long shaggy hair, he got a hair cut (pretty much a buzz cut). She said "Ew you cut ur hair" then proceeded not to want to hang out anymore.

What did he say? Fvck it! if a girl doesnt like u because of your style then eff her. BUT, thats no reason to over do it. I am not sayin twear a pink polo and pop the collar. (PLEASE GOD NO). I am saying maybe painting ur nails would freak her out. But just be normal, who cares.

It's not how you dress, it's how you act. I pity the fool.

I am very emo, and yet i don't dress the part. I dress normal, so that people will have to get to know me, to know who I am.

Like if you dress to a certain group, people automatically make assumptions about you, and that might influence their decision.

Like I dress in w/e. It looks good on me, and so people have to guess what group I belong to.
