Ok. I met this girl at admit weekend for the college I'm attending this fall and she lives in my home town. I just talked to her a little bit there and she said something like (before she left): "maybe I'll see you around in DC" and I, thinking she just meant maybe she'd bump into me, said "probably not"

Anyway, we start later than everyone else so all our friends have already left for college and we have a couple of weeks left. We're on facebook. Haven't talked to her since I met her back in April and she left this on my wall:

"whatup? i know you swore we wouldnt chill before school, but when september gets real lonely...GUESS WHOS STILL HERE? "

So I message her and we go back a couple times and I say "Hang out with my when I get back from vacation to cure my boredom. All my friends have left already" and she said "yeah, give me a call when you get back"

So, we're going out sometime next week. Is this a date? I don't think so, but I don't know how to act. She's hot but how do I know if she really justs wants to hang out or if she's interested? I mean, there are certain things I do on a date that I wouldn't do if I were just going out with a friend....and vice versa I guess

Don't expect anything. Just hang out with her and have a good time. Go do something fun, that the both of you would enjoy. If things work out great... if not then its not that big of a deal. You'd make a new friend. (Hot girls sometimes have hot girlfriends) And you'll meet x10 more girls at college.

Who cares?

Be the cool guy and make her interested... or if she is interested make her even more interested... what's it matter what she thinks now? She likes you enough to want to hang out with you so just relax.

I take it you're a freshman so either way you should gain from this "date" at least a friend and someone to introduce you to other lonely freshmen.

Are you going to school at UMD? My gf just graduated from there and we hang out up there sometimes.
