Need help buying car *Please Read*

My parents want to buy a new car that will fit the whole 4 person family. They want me to pick out the car because i will get it next year when i get my liscense. The thing is that I dont want it to be some loser cruiser that i will eventually take over so no minivans!! The car has to be below $9,000 only VERY good exceptions.

that very much limits your options......

find out where the car lots are in your area and one day, wisit them all, with couple of your friends..... Car has to be cool to begin with....

oh and If I hear that you bought a Neon and added 15 000 aftermarket **** too it I'll personally kik you in the nuts.

And i'll be next in line.
If your family only has 4 people and noone is over 250 pounds you can get a sedan or a small SUV, which usually cost less than minivans and full-size SUVs.

Less than 9000 and _new_? I have hard time imagining how would you find one in US. I dont think it is possible.

If you are not in US, be specific what country you are from, so people would be able to help you with specifics

My older sister has a minivan and even though it's not my first choice for a vehicle, you can't deny the practicality of one. Like shizwhatshisface said, imagine how much ass you can comfortably lay in one of them. Great for that "camping trip" with your g/f or a drive-in movie or whatever. Who needs a cramped backseat when you have enough room for a mattress...

Not to mention for 2 grand you can put Corvettes to shame on the drag strip.

I've seriously never gotten any ass in my Camaro. It's too small, cramped, the center console gets in the way, no backseats. It sucks royally.

1996-1999 Volkswagen Jetta GLX

V6, good on gas, 182HP, will burn rice rockets, tuners have been able to get up to 540HP out of that engine, MASSIVE trunk, very convenient ride, all the girls think its cute, and you can find great ones for under $8000.

I have the 4 cylinder GLS, that **** still hauls ass, and I get hella girls complimenting it.

EDIT: I ALWAYS GET ASS IN MY CAR. AND THE GIRLS LOVE IT IN THERE!

Um, you always get ass in a JETTA? From who, men? That is not the first car that would come to mind as a chick magnet. In fact, it's the last car, aside from a guy-driven Miata or New Beatle. Girls thinking a car is CUTE is a bad thing for a guy. Why don't I just drive my mom's old Hyundai Accent around to pick up chicks? Do you pick up chicks in a Volkswagen New Beatle too? I bet the chicks love the daisies in the vase. :rolleyes:

Seriously, who cares what tuners can get out of the engine? We won't ever get that much, and if we do, then the fuel economy point is moot. It's not as good on gas as more potent 6-cylinder engines of close years, like Honda or BMW.

Ive been talking to my parents they either want to get a Ford Explore XLS or 4Runner. i know they arent very gas friendly nor are they pimp mobiles but they sound good to me.

Do you think these cars are mod worthy??
