This last November, as a matter of fact it was the day before Thanskgiving. I was hollering at a chick. The conversation went well and I went for the close.

I didn't get her number, but I gave her mine. Not only did she call, but she called the next day. Was that an anomaly?

Believe me, I understadn the logic behind not giving a chick your number if she doesn't give up hers. It seems that if I was successful once, then maybe I should try it again. Maybe give it a "field test," and see what my results would be.

There are definitely times when girls won't give you their number even though they like you. A common one is if they're surrounded by judgemental friends when you picked them up. This is especially true for me since i'm pretty direct. Sometimes, the girls will refuse to give out their number so that they don't appear slutty - this is common ASD. Another possibility is if they have crazy/jealous father or brother. This happens to me all the time. There are girls i've been dating for months, whose fathers have no idea i exist. And for good reason. This isn't all that hard if the girl has a cellphone, but what if she doesn't? She can't have you calling her house if she's got a crazy father who jumps on every chance he gets to tear her (potential) boyfriends to shreds. On and on it goes. You gotta learn how to calibrate. If you and the girl are alone, she has a cell and won't give you the number, tell her to go to hell. If she's with friends and/or doesn't have a cell, and asks for your number, give it to her.
