About a month ago I started seeing this girl. We went on two dates. First I took her to an art exhibit, and then we went to a concert. A week and a half ago she called me and asked me to take her to her prom. I went over to her house on saturday, and there were some other people there. We hung out, and watched a movie. I had my arm around her, and then when I left she walked out with me, and I kissed her. Then a few days later she IM's me and says "I don't know what kind of impression I gave you, but I'm really not ready for a relationship" sorry to be blunt but WTF?

Do her friends like you? One of them might have had a hand in this.
Im on very good terms with one of her best friends, but Im not so sure about her other friends, and I'm beginning to suspect the same. The real question is should I even bother trying to get her back or should I say screw it, and accept the wasted effort
