I want to get a degree in Computer Information systmes, but I heard its hard to find jobs in that area. I was thinking doing somthing medical like X-Ray or somthing but im not sure. I sign up for the AF and pick some medical jobs and trade type jobs like Heating and Air, and mechanic, but its taking so #$%#ing long to get a job and a shipping date. I think I can get a job as a Waste Water Treatment Technician b/c of the people I know and my dad is pushing me to go for it. Starting pay is around 25k and thats not bad where I live. I wish I can make up my mind in what I want to do!

GO FOR IT!!

If thats just where the pay STARTS from, then u are sorted for life! You dont even need to think twice about this, if you like it, and it pays THAT much, then by all means, DO IT!

Twenty-five k a year is peanuts, so if you're in it for the money then that's not the place to be.

What do you want out of your career? If it's strictly money, then become an arms dealer or a porn king. If it's about looking yourself in the mirror every morning without guilt, then maybe you should look at something else.

Have you completed any personality and job assessment tests like the Myer's-Briggs or True Colors things? "Know thyself" first, THEN decide upon a career. Don't make the mistake I made and fall into something which you ended up hating but had to stick with it because you made financial commitments (mortgage, high-maintenance wife, car loan, etc.)

well, 25k a year does sound pretty good, even to my ears.

but look at it this way, you can get that job any time you want, thanks to your connections. Are you telling me you're willing to settle down so soon? and be that the rest of your life?

i took information systems in h.s. it's relatively easy.....is it hard to find a job in that field? you can the same just about to any type of field nowadays. But if you're willing to put yourself out there, there shouldnt be any difficutly in finding the job.

The key is to find out what makes you click. If the pay is great but you hate your job, what more is there to say?

you should start off the first semester with some liberal arts programs...find out what makes you click and choose a major the 2nd semester.

time is valuable don't waste it.

Im thinking about gettin got out of the Air Force DEP and go into a medical college. I thinking about taking physical therapist assistant or Radiogy. I guess I can take a loan and get a part-time job to pay off tuition. What major will a network systmes and data communication analysts be?
