When i decided to get into a LTR with my girl it was a HUGE decision for me, and a hard one too, but just like any other hard decision to make, it took alot of willpower and self dicipline in order to accomplish this, and yes, it WAS hard to go out and NOT pull chicks etc... but within time you will find it alot easiyer to "control yourself". This is about YOU, and YOUR WILLPOWER to change the way YOU are atm! Its something that will take a while.. might take you a week, might take u several months, that depends on YOU, as a person. In the movie the 'tao of steve', the main character gives a name to this 'ailment' that I myself suffer from, he called it 'Male Insanity Syndrome'.

That is the condition where you find one girl, then once things get good and comfortable, you start to think, 'Hey, if I got this girl to love me, maybe I can trade-up to a little bit better.'

That's happened to me personnally about 3-4 times that I can think of off the top of my head.

No, its not going to change, unless you decide that you will make the situation change... I personnally don't want to change that yet.
