I'm going to keep this short and to the point....

My question:

If someone is starting to get bald spots on his head, his hair is thinning, and slowly slowwly he is getting more and more bald spots on his head.... what can a guy do in order to get his hair to grow back to being thick and full again? Any help will be appreciated.

p.s.: I am asking what things one can do that does not involve using medicine etc, i'm talking about things that one should eat, excercises that one shoud do etc... and if there arent, then some other info is welcome.

Thanx...

There are a number of factors that lead to hair loss. Some are genetic, and some are health based. What is remains constant, though, is that there is usually a way to prevent further hairloss, or at least slow down the rate of hairloss.

1. Your friend needs to take showers every day. Yes the type of shampoo/conditioner does matter.

2. Your friend should take good care of himself. Make sure he gets the proper exersise.

3. He needs to eat a whole and balanced diet. Imbalances in diets can lead to hormonal imbalances which can lead to hair loss.

If this doesn't work, or he has genetic, hereditary male pattern baldness, I would suggest visiting a dermatologist, or someone who is good with hair. A general practicioner will probably recommend the same.

If you don't mind spending some money, tell your friend to invest in NO2 (from MRI) or any other sort of nitric oxide supplement. This is working miracles for my hair.

More later, class is out :-p

your friend might wanna look into rogaine, i hear it works.

my friend has sparse hair, he's 20, but im betting 20 years from now he's going bald just like his dad....its all in the genetics..

The gene for baldness actually passes on from the mother. If you're dad is bald, it doesn't mean too much. If your mom's brothers are bald, you might have something to worry about.

hm..youre probably right about that. As i do know for a fact that how much facial hair you get in your lifetime is dependent on your mom's side of the family (her brothers)

well, glad to know my mom's dad has a full head of hair at his age.

Thanx for the info... I'll be sure to let him know of what he should do.

His diet Is good though, and as far as i know his 1 uncle that i have met have long thick hair, so i dont know how true that genetics thing is. He is the only one in his family that has hair loss/thinning problem, for some reason... could it maybe be that he wears gel?
Otherwise.. does cutting your hair SHORT help at all?

thanx for the info once again.. appreciated.;)

Rogaine does work. But it works in the same way nitric oxide supplements work.

Supplementing with Nitric Oxide has a number of pathways, but supposedly one of it's greatest effects is called hemodilation: the dilation of blood.

Both Rogaine and Viagra are hemo or vaso dialators(sp?). The result is increased blood flow, and possibly lower blood pressure. Increased blood flow means increased circulation. Increased circulation means that if your on the proper diet, you'll get more nutrients to the right places. Ths is what you want if all that's happening is a deficiency.

Good luck with your friends hair problem!

MakeItSo: thanx man... your advise is helptfull... but i got one more question about this... if the hair stops growing from a place ( a bald spot) how is it possible for hair to start growing from that place again? i mean.. is the root not dead? how is it possible for hair to grow there again if its like dead?

and should i start using that sh!t as well so that i will prevent going bald in the future too?

Thanx;)

Check if he's eating RAW eggs. They cause a biotin defecit if he eats it on a regular basis. They cause thinning of hair, etc. If thats the situation theres some pills he can take to increase his biotin levels. But before buying anything, research the raw eggs deal. I am no doctor.
