Ok a close mate of mine who i havnt seen in a while is having a party for his 19th birthday, said lots of people will be there, and lots of chicks

but well im kinda nervous when it comes to partys, like i dont really go out often, havnt had a gf before. I do sometimes talk to girls at college, but not often

so what can i do, whats some tips to get some numbers? like im allways so nervous at partys, like when talkin to stranger chicks and stuff

dude.. your new, and i should pound you with the "read the bible" like many others would, but its really simple.

you want a girls number, you have two options.

sit in the corner with a couple of guys and hope to hell some girl makes a paper areoplane with her number written on it and she flys it into your lap.

or you can aggressivly search for chicks who you would like to meet, make small talk with them for 10-20 minutes, then say "i'm going to mingle, give me your number so we can catch up again"

repeat that step with other girls..

ITS possible you'll fail in getting the first number, don't let it get you down, just go on about your business of getting numbers without paying any mind to it.

but there isnt enough time to do like 50 approaches etc...


im not like a geek that sits in the corner, just need some tips to get the convo started at a party with chicks i dont know, just nervous i guess since i never really goto partys

Well...now you do. Start acting like it.

Have fun. When you chat up some hottie, if she blows you off and your friends laugh, laugh with them. You know THEY ain't getting any, plus it's all in fun.

But seriously...just relax and have a good time. And yeah, read the Bible if you want tips on how to mack the ladies.

All the approaches in the world won't work until you get your inner-game in check. You need to work on building your confidence first. Don't focus on getting results from this 'one' party. Your just putting pressure on yourself to perform, which is bad news incase you didn't know.

Take things one step at a time. Go to this party and just practice saying 'hi' to different girls. If they start conversation with you, great! Then go home and read some books and prepare to take things to the next level at the following party. I highly remommend the following books.

books? i don't think u need books.

all that you can really learn from this site and books in general is tactics that work on SOME girls, other girls they won't work on. dude.. this site is more just to give you the confidence to get out there and get some girls.

think like this, imagine a roulette table.
37 numbers, 0-36.
put $1 on number 7. spin, it lands on.... 16
put another $1 on number 7. spin, it lands on.... 12
spin, spin, spin, spin... sooner or later it WILL land on 7. it might happen on the first spin, it might happen on the 90th spin. it will happen.

the same applies to approaches. talk to the first girl, you might score. you might not. try again, and again, and again.
i find that i'd probably score 1 girl out of every three proper approaches i do. HOWEVER, i don't really do it like a standard "dj" hitting the street. almost EVERY pickup i've ever tried is at a party or a club. and i would sometimes talk to a girl and bail before i really find out how its going, that may push it back to 1 in 5 girls.

you don't need any tips from this site to pick up though. thats making excuses "i haven't done bootcamp, i can't pickup!"

from this site, take the way of life, don't take the tips.
take the, "i'll be a better man if i look after myself (healthwise, eat well + gym), i'll be a better man if i work hard at school/work (get that job you want, save your money) i'll be a better man if i dress well (great confidence can be found in knowing you look good)"

now get out to this party, talk to some girls, and if it takes you somewhere. go for it!

after reading it and a few of the replys it pretty quickly got me thinking, music is something i often talk about with girls, and i'm very knowlegable (spelling) about it.

you had posed a question down the thread somewhere

"i often ask a girl, in a perfect world what would you be doing?"

how about something like this.

as a follow up, maybe not immediantly after that perfect world but somewhere shortly after.

"which band would be playing the sound track to your life?"

great way to get started talking about music while it also makes you sound like a deep thinker.
i hope i remember to ask something like that next time i'm talking to a chick, but normally i'm pretty drunk and don't think to much about what i'm saying. (but i still normally score atleast a kiss.)
