Circumstances are responsible for everyone else's lives. They let their environment control them. What you do right now determines exactly where you will be in a few years. If you keep doing what your doing you will keep getting more of what you've allready got. Makes sense doesnt it?

If your not capable of stopping right now and taking control, of you life, then chances are that something or someone else will take control of your life. Considering noone really cares what happens to you i dont think its a good idea to leave your destiny in the hands of something/someone else.

Responsibility is hard. Controlling your life is hard. Thats why noone wants the responsibility. So what do they do? Give it to someone else, blame everything and everyone else for their current circumstances. The only reason you have nothing, is because at the moment your being immature and refusing to take responsibliity for your circumstances.

MASTER YOUR FATE OR BECOME A VICTIM OF YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES

Most people let go of the things they can control and try to control the things they cant, in their futile attempt to obtain security. It is your fault if you eat McDonalds. It's not McDonals fault for selling fatty foods, its not because your program starts next week, its because you have no determination and are incaapable of taking responsibility of your life.

Stop blaming yoru parents.

Stop blaming your school.

Stop blaming society and the media.

See that your current position exists for the sole fact that you didnt take responsiblity. And until you do - **** will just get worse.

IF YOU TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES - THEN YOU TAKE THE POWER TO CHANGE THEM

It's not your fault if you get mugged or if you get hit by a car, but your responsible for how you react.

YOU DONT CHOOSE THE HAND YOUR DEALT, BUT YOU ALWAYS CHOOSE HOW YOU PLAY IT

If you take responsibility then you can have good relationships with people, you can obtain financial prosperity, you can become fulfilled, you can become everything you wanted to be.

Why don't all people take responsibility? Because it leads to change and this leads to insecurity. Everyone wants security.

Security might look good on the outside, you have fun, a decent job, settle down with a girl, etc, etc, etc. But - on the whole, security it un attainable.

Time will change you no matter what, and with change comes insecurity. You dont change anything, you blame other people for your cricumstances in an attempt to be secure. But it wont happen. You will change, and with change - security becomes impossible.

When you take responsility you take control over this change.

YOU CANT CONTROL THE FACT THAT CHANGE WILL HAPPEN, BUT YOU CAN CONTROL WHAT YOU CHANGE IN TO

So in closing..

Responsibility isn't a light switch, though the more you can make it act like one the better. Responsibility is the difference between someone who will make an excuse if their computer dies the night before an essay is due and the guy who will go to the library and get it done.

Responsibility is about being self-sufficient, not letting little crap get in your way. It's not so much about making decisions as it is following through with what you gotta do.

Fitch, I've noticed you try to define things and contemplate things a lot. Though that's intelligent and reasonable of you, lemme give you a bit of advice. The best (and often only) way to learn something is to go into it. You can stick a thermometer in and scientifically analyze the pool water all you want, but you'll never know how it feels until you cannonball your ass in with a loud HOOYAH!. It's nearly always easier to understand things like responsibility once you get the general gist of it and do it than it is to put it into words and understand it like that.

you are absolutley right. anything that happens to me in the future will be of my own doing. i can really control my future!

Very true. The best way to learn and fully understand something is to experience it.

From what i understand, Responsiblity is taking control of your life. You should not blame people for your downfalls because you should be Responsible enough to prevent this occurance in the first place.
