i have noticed on this forum that alot of people talk about how pissed off at themselves they are at a missed opportunity to hook up with a girl or whatever. my question is why.

whether or not you liked the matrix movies you have to admit that they raised alot of interesting questions. the oracle always claims that we have already made our choices, now we only need to understand them. by every action we take or don't take we are being led towards a destiny that already exists for us. but due to a future we cannot see, we fail to understand that every girl you get, every grade you receive, and every lesson you learn is all just steps on the path to the rest of your life.

say that babe you want to hook up with shoots you down. As you are walking away feeling dejected, you bump into another girl and knock her down. she is a girl you have seen before, but you never really noticed her until now. you help her up and maybe you end up getting her phone number. this may be the girl you spend the rest of your life with, but if that hottie didn't reject you you never would have met her.

so whatever happens we all must learn to role with the punches and accept that whatever happens happens for a reason. we all have a destiny, and the everyday events we take for granted are sending us all down our own long and winding road.

However, I subscribe to the premise that I control my own destiny and it is not predetermined for me.
However successful I become in life in matter of the ladies, money, social status and anything is what I decide.

And no one else has a say in it ;-)

my point is that we decide our own destiny. we control our lives, but our future is there and the choices we make eventually create that future for us. or rather, instead of creating that future, we can "see" it

the matrix is by far the most popular metaphor of our time. Anyways a line I liked was "Stop trying to hit me and hit me" The post was good, similar to a couple in the bible. "This is your life, and it's passing by minute by minute" -Fight Club...lol
