According to the calipers, i'm down to 7%, but realistically, i'm probably at around 9%. My six-pack isn't clearly visible at all, so i wanna cut some more, but i've reached the point where i'm left with that last bit of fat around my abs and thighs that seems to take a lot more work to get rid of than the rest of it was. So while i was losing 1.5lbs/wk before, now i'm losing only 0.5lbs/wk. I haven't been this lean in ages, so this fat at least half a decade old, if that makes any difference.

What i'm concerned about is this: suppose i put in the work to get rid of this last bit of fat, the bit that takes the most work. Won't it be the first to come back once i start bulking again, which i desparately need to because i got sick while cutting and lost a lot of muscle. I don't wanna cut for a month just to have all that work undone by a week of bulking! Is that the way it's gonna work? And if so, why bother?

Yes it will be the first to come back but what u lose in one month of cutting will more likely take a year to come back while bulking if u dont eat more than u need to bulk (u dont have to put on mad amounts of fat if ure "bulking", it is possible to gain muscle without gaining lots of fat, ESPECIALLY if ure just starting to work out/bulk)

Yes it's the first to come back, but it's also easier to lose the second time.

A picture is worth a thousand words if you can get one.(make sure to cover your face so you don't end up on a gay porn site):D

I would say that if you're planning on bulking anyways, there really isn't any reason to cut more if you're truly at 9% BF.

If you are intent on getting that last bit of fat, make sure your diet is really clean.

Also, how big are you now?

who cares
youre at 7-9% and your six pack isnt showing.....well thats because you got to work it!!!

get a really hard ass ab routine....and actually start bulking up. and fat isnt going to be the first to come back if you have a balanced diet....but most important of all make sure you take in around 180 grams of protein per day while bulking...remeber nutrition is like 70% of the deal or some **** like that....and trust me is true (i used to not believe it)

As your bodyfat gets lower, your body does anything to try and keep a decent amount of fat on it to protect it and keep higher energy stores... 0.5lbs is still good going if you're at that point - it's just a lot of hard work.

Yes, bulk bulk bulk, weights weights weights. Realistically expect yourself to gain a bit of fat to start with. If you're cut already, you'll find a perfect balence between maintainence and bulking where your bf% hardly ever changes.

Undes. is on the mark with the diet. Muscles arent made in the gym, they're battered and torn there. When you get home, over the next few days, your body repairs it and makes a little bit more cause of the tears. Protein is about 77% of your muscle, if you aint got the protein, your muscle will suffer.

I'm just here to say, I think you have your caliper measurement a little wrong. If I had to guess, I'd say you're prolly really around 11-12% BF, which is where it gets hard to drop the fat.

if you go take a look at www.johnstonefitness.com poke around and find his pics. You can find pics and body fat percentages of all the pics, so it would give you a good idea of what you should look like at each body fat percentage. That guy has it down pretty damn good.
