How does sex effect the performance of an athlete taking part in intense sports such as boxing or fighting sports in general?

I've been looking around for good articles about the influence of testosterone but haven't found any.

I saw a documentary on Rickson Gracie and he doesn't have sex two weeks before a fight. Says it helps him fight, and he is undefeated.
