My best friend and I were having a little competition on getting a particular girl. We have a checklist of what we have to do with her and the first one to complete it wins the competition. Well saturday we were going head to head (both of us were around her) and I was clearly dominating him, he was out of the picture with her. Well yesterday he takes her to the movies, he kisses her, and then tell me..... get this...... i would like you to back off her for just two weeks, i like her now, we talked so much, bla bla bla. I told him i would (just because he is my bestfriend and no girl is worth messing that up) but I was getting excited about this competition and looking forward to hanging out with this girl since it is the first time i have been able to use my recently acquired dj skills (and damn did they work good, it was the best time of my life having the girl flirting with me, and also forgetting about the other guy, and not keeping her hands off me) without her knowing the previous afc that i was. What would you have done in this situation? would you talk him into keeping the competition going, or back off for two weeks like he says to "see if anything happens". It sounds to me like he was threatend and now he hopes to get ahead of me in the game during these two weeks with no competition. I could probably persuade him to still have it a competition.... but anyways, what would you guys do in this situation.

I'd tell the girl about the competition so she can see what idiots you both are and next both of you.

I know that being able to finally act in such a way so that you get positive attention from a girl can be pretty exciting.

However, I think this is just too much like a bad sitcom. Why would you toy with anyone like that? With great power, comes great responsibility. If you don't use it wisely, you will lose this gift.

I think you will find that once you back off, this girl in question is not going to enjoy the company as much as she did, as the competition for her attention/affection is not there anymore.

Then, I suppose, you'll be able to pick up where you left off. However, I think that both of you need to tell this girl what you were doing, or promise that even if she dumps him, and craps in his bed that he won't say sh*t. Because if he does, she won't be your play toy anymore.

By withdrawing, you're gonna fvck your friend, belive it or not. If she was into you already, she's gonna go nuts when you stop giving a damn about her. And then he'll be COMPLETELY out of the picture. If you really wanna help him, go doormat on her ass. Start calling her 10 times a day and buying her flowers.

but what would you guys do in this situation. Lets take for granted that niether of us are going to tell anyone what we are doing.

Woudl you:
1. Be sneaky and still keep her interest, but dont kiss her so that you are still "backing off"
2. Be the "good friend" and sabatoge yourself
3. Tell him you dont want to back off because your interested in her too and see his response

God! Haven't you ever watched a teen movie!? Whatever happens you're both gonna end up looking like ****s.
