Well, I was so suave with my last girlfriend.

I saw her in the hallway at school and latre that day I realized I had a class with her. I glanced over at her every 10 or 15 seconds to see if she was looking at me, and after a few months of this (I eventually moved to every couple of minutes or so) she noticed me.

I brought her flowers for valentine's day and cake for her birthday, and then I made her brownies and gave her 10 birthday hugs. After a few more weeks of me showering gifts on her she was mine.

Let's see... my smoothest approach would have to be getting a date to prom last year. I saw her sitting at a lunch table, I went straight up and said "Hey Becky, how are ya?" She said she was good and I just straight out told her I was looking for a date to prom and she should go with me. She said she was thinking about it, but I interrupted her thoughts and said "Come on, you can't sit around thinking about this forever! It's a one time deal." She then looked at me and said "OK." Hanging out with her later that week, she told me she liked my approach. How I was direct, didn't BS, didn't beat around the bush, etc.

The best number close I've done was turning around and facing the girl in the desk behind me and saying "Laura, why don't you give me your phone number." as she paused from talking to this guy next to her. Her eyes lit up and she was like "Ohhhh you want my phone number huh?" and I was like "Yeah, I do. Write it down on my log book." She wrote it across a whole entire week's worth of writing space, so I commented "Maybe you could write it a little bigger, so I won't lose it you know?" with a C+F tone. She got a laugh out of that and smiled.
