I started posting a lot of late and ignored the articles. Big mistake.

I think it's crucial for DJs and aspiring DJs to read the articles and DJ Bible before lurking on this board, which can become habit forming.

Just asking for advice on this board can be an exercise in futility. All the so-called smoothies come rushing in to declare anyone not like them an AFC, wimp, or to grow some nads or whatever -- meanwhile I quick scan of their name shows 300 posts (i.e., they're not leaving mommy's basement).

The articles, whether from Allen Thompson, the love dr. or whatever he calls himself, and Dana Peach, are invaluable and are great tools for life. Best to get the information from those articles and read this message board for fun and humor and an occassional tip.

I hope people DO follow your advice.

When I got here, I didn't even want to touch the Forum... I just absorbed the articles one after the other...

Then it went to the Bible, then I started posting after reading the best of what sosuave has to offer.

Most should do the same, but most don't.

I spent a year, reading nothing but articles. Many articles are great, but nothing beats the bible.
