Don Juan
Hey Guys,
I've been mulling this over in my head for a while now.
I have a roomate. He's 33, divorced. And he's what you'd probably call an AFC.
Now- don't get me wrong. He's a genuinely good soul. He's got ethics, and morals. He's a computer animator, fairly well-read, likes a night out, and has some great friends.
But he just can't seem to have any luck with women. I've given him a *little* bit of advice, because I've seen him get SO frustrated with women, and even though I do razz him on his cluelessness with chicks, I do want him to be happy.
I can't really help him though, considering I'm 10 years younger.
He's got confidence issues, which I keep telling him is the number 1 thing he has to work on. Chicks can smell a guy who's unconfident. I told him I'd take him shopping for some new clothes, because he lives in t-shirts and cargos, and (from what I've experienced) most older women don't go for that.
The only thing I keep telling him is- stop justifying your existance. You're a smart guy, you are successful, and you're creative. Just be you, and screw the women who don't see the value of you.
He's seen this one chick a few times, but she's just using him for rides, or to fix her computer when it crashes. It pisses me off that he just puts up with it.
But once again, I don't have any male perspective on this.
Do you think you guys might be able to give me a few pointers or tips I can pass along to my roomie, so he's more ladies-man and less afc?
