I'm just curious as to the circumstances and places where people have met their GF...Perhaps I can learn from people's rich experiences.

That's a fun idea for a thread...

#1 We worked as salespersons for different stores in the same mall. Competitors actually. Me: Radio Shack. Her: Compucentre. I was over at her store nearly every day, getting tech info on the latest computer stuff they got. Name-tag removed of course. hehe She was always very helpful, answering all my questions. After a few weeks of this, I started checking her out too...

#2 We we both in the same class. Job-hunting course paid for by unemployment insurance. Didn't even like her or find her attractive at first. We used to chat during breaks or lunch (was an all-day course). Became friends, then bf/gf, moved in together, had 2 kids and got married! lol Life plays the cruelest of jokes on you sometimes.

#3 Personals. Not much of an original story here. Talked on the phone once, dinner date, dated a few weeks, then moved in with her for a few months.

#4 Personals. Actually met her shortly before #3, but we were just friends. One day, I was over at her place and she told me that she felt ripe for a boyfriend. I told her I was staying single for a while, having just been through a horribly painful breakup with #3. Hadn't picked up on her message at all! lol A few days later she invited me over to give her a massage. Being a totally clueless AFC, I proceeded to give her one. She interpreted my cluelessness and previous conversation as Challenge and jumped me.

#5 At one of the dances I organize for non-smokers in my city. She was one of the regulars. Apart from my style, she liked the way I treated my kids (no alcohol at my dances, so kids are allowed. she has kids too). I was in the process of dumping #4 (Value by default). I was still 100% AFC at this point.

Ex-Gf:Online - Went on a couple of dates, didn't see her for a year, hooked up again and dated for 6 months. Found out she was a far left queer studying for the bar. Talk about a guy who had a snowballs chance in hell at sanity

Current GF:Online - Met for a coffee date. We sat for 7 hours talking about AFCs, lol. Been together for almost a year now.

As I am only in College, mostly in highschool it was in classes and at parties. Once at a driver's class for my reckless driving (was just testing DJ skills with the site's advice). I've always found that I love turning friends into the girlfriends because then I know them really well and it's easier to get comfortable about sex and such. Women who are your friends when you have a girlfriend usually like you so when you break up, it's not the same as when you have nobody and they are your friends. That's how it's been for me. ~Zappa

Ex-GF: Cold PU at a restaurant, the only successful one I've ever done. I had some balls then . . .
