My girlfriend and I have been together for 8 months now and in a month she moves to Eau Claire Wisconsin for college. That is only about a little over an hour away from me.

Recently we've been discussing about her moving and she told me she wants to continue the relationship and that even though the fact is she will see me only 1 or 2 times a week that its ok and she could go weeks without seeing me because when i come to see her she'll have missed me so much that she'll love the sight of me or something.

Considering she really likes me and she says im the first guy shes ever cared about or most things in life shes not sure about but shes sure she "loves" me, and she'll be back 10 mins away from me during christmas breaks and summer breaks and spring breeaks, but the fact is she'll be there for 4 years (bleh) and everything ...

what do you guys think? should i persure? just looking for opinions.... i dont want to hear anyone saying "oh, LDR's dont work, next her!"

that is LDR? seems like a regular relationship to me. exactly how far is she from you?

of course you dont want to hear the obvious..especially if its the truth.

Go ahead and give it a shot..you'll be back in 2-3 months crying why she hasnt returned your phone calls right away, wondering who she is hangin with, why she isnt at home on friday /sat nights

I think itll be alright..its only an hour away.

umm we hang out like 3-4 times a week but we hang out for like the whole day

when she moves we'll only hang out like on friday/sat/sun or whatever. she said she wants me to stay in her dorm room and that she has some friends in wisconsin who will drive her back here whenever she wants to come and stay with me at my place.
