Hey, I'm not one to get too tangled up with these things, but I looked up my sign and the qualities are certainly pretty accurate, which is scary.

Anyways, I also looked up the signs of people I know well, and they tend to be on the money too.

There are these compatibility things, where you can see how one sign matches up with another. I checked out the compatibility of myself and this one girl I'm into, and it says there is a strong attraction between our signs, but there are certain qualities that will make a relationship either hit or miss, nothing in between, which I can sort of see.

Again, scary thought how these signs can be so accurate. Just thought if anyone else had these experiences.

Our brain tends to look for rules to match things. To see, that a horoscope doesn´t say anything, you have to make a statistic. (actually one of the experiments, that prove, that we tend to see coincidences where there are none, was done with different fake horoscopes)

simplyme, definitely agree with that. I think that you can work it to your advantage though, given that many people, especially women, tend to do what you said.

Have you guys ever read that book...DAMN I can't remember the title. Basically it breaks down your sign by the day. You look up your B-Day and it tells you what your qualities are.I normally don't believe in theis stuff and read it just for entertainment purposes, but it was actually pretty scary how on point that book was! Anyone know the title by any chance? It is a really THICK hardcover book...

You can probably find similar things online that say the same scary coincidental things.

The only signs you should be looking for are body language signs.

Most girls are interested in astrology. It can be used to your advantage.

Paradox: I'm a Sagattarius. We are both fire signs. That means we are compatable.

If they ask your sign then they are doing some sort of (chick-logic) compatibility check.

I don't agree with this compatablility chart but it does make interesting convo with ho's.

They did a study where a class was given a personality test, the answers were disregarded, and each student was given that result, each believing it to be unique. The average rating was 4.3, and no student rated it below a 2 (average).
The trick was that:
A) People focused on what was applicable, and ignored what wasn't, and
B) People tend to mold generalizations to fit their own lives and preconceptions.

Find somebody, take their astrological sign, then ignore their sign and give them that test. Then ask them to rate how accurate it was. You'll be surprised at the results.
