This girl in my class made a point of saying it was nice to know me and that we wouldn't likely see each other again because she'd be living somewhere else slightly farther away. She said this in a very...strange...way. And she said "Have a nice...life...i guess...i don't mean that in a mean way..."

The only contact outside of class that I have with her is the internet. I think this girl's interested. Would it scare her off to message her offering we see a movie or something? There's not really any subtle way of doing it under my circumstances.

Again, I'm pretty sure she's interested but I just don't know if this situation is futile.

Yeah go for it. You'll regret it if you don't.

Alternatively, e-mail her and then disappear for two or three days so she is forced to e-mail you rather than chatting on MSN Messenger or whatever.

You Young Guns THINK TOO MUCH sometimes. JUST FVCKING DO IT!

I used to OVER-THINK things like that also..but after finding this site, (and a few others) I have learned to sieze the moment...

I woulda definitely made out with her if I were in that situation..
