Just spoke to a girl whose phone number I picked up last week. The conversation went very well. I was "on" as it were. Eventually she broke in with "we should definitely get together" etc etc. Knowing that she has a wacky work schedule, I asked her what nights she is free. At that point, she backed off of this weekend and said she won't know next week's schedule until Thurs. She asked me to call her Thurs or Fri, I told her no, she can call me when she knows. Hmm. I think this works, but did I inadvertently give up control of the situation? The way I see it, there is no avoiding working around her work schedule...and when she calls me back, it will be proof of IL. (I am confident that she WILL be calling.) Thoughts?

First off, don't ever ask when are you free? Assume she is, tell her you are going sky diving(or whatever the hell you do for fun) on a certain day and time and invite her to come along.
If she says she can't(low IL) call her up in a week and try again, if she still can't, for whatever reason, then NEXT her because she doesn't deserve to spend time with you. Go out and get more numbers because you should never depend on a chick for anything. Remember you are the man, you set the rules, you decide where to go and not to go in beginning!
I doubt she will call you(has to have a very high IL), but I could be wrong.
