Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

it has to involve booze but not much money. my preferred plan of attack is to have her drive to my house and then I drive from there. I'm thinking cool dive bar somewhere> that way we go out, she starts boozing, and then she is stuck at my pad when we get back-cause I wouldn't want her to drive......of course I "offer" the couch, ya know?

a DJ shouldn't have to get a girl drunk in order to "get some", your idea sounds more like picking up a girl at a club or bar vs. an actual date...

It depends on what you're looking for... If this is a casual date (ie you just want to see if she's someone you actually want) Then pick a spot where you'll actually get to have some intelligent conversation. IE Dinner, coffee (for average dates) or something more interesting like mini-golf (unless that would feel childish to you). If you just want sex, then go for something cheaper and requiring less convo... ie a club (where you can dance, get some drinks, etc etc).
Just dont do the same date twice. Keep it fresh, fun (what would YOU have fun doing, regardless of what you think she'll enjoy), and you'll do fine.

PS: The location / type of date itself isn't all that important. If your game is good, you'll do fine regardless, provided you aren't doing some EXTREMELY afc date...

When I was a total AFC, I was still about to get in kino and some action, without even knowing what the hell kino was!
Hiking is possibly the best dates I've done. Its fun (for me), great view, and allows plenty of chances for kino, or whatever you decide to do (don't say "rape").
I've been hinking wiht my girlfriend for the last 20 times, and never get bored of it. We just go to different areas each time. Since Australia has plenty of mountains within 1 hour by train, its plenty of opportunity.
Of course, I find its hard to get a girl you just met to do it (trust?). I noticed you either have to know the girl well enough (2nd or 3rd date), or have some sort of "security" to back you up (e.g. if you're both from the same college, or friends with her friends, etc). Never done it on a first date; perhaps its got to do with that time I got arrested for sticking a chicken in my azz and running around campus naked?

I have never gone wrong with this as a first date. People can bash me but it has always worked. One there is no need to entertain the whole time. It can get her laughing. Tickets are relatively cheap. You can have a couple drinks. Dinner if you want but if you don't have the money you can just start the date out later so that you miss the food and $ involved with that. Just my take. Just make sure it is something adventerous/orignal.

I was thinking along the same lines. If it someone you want to spend more time with make it memorable. Something you guys could look back on if things progress.

Something light-hearted, something FUN! Something like bowling in the evening is good (though its better in groups...) or a game of pool, ice-skating, anything that does not bring serious convo into the 1st date.
Remember, you want to have a good time and come across naturally and also make the girl feel comfortable...so action dates are good first dates.

Coffee or tea man. That's just choice. Classic and will never go out of style. Get creative on the next date. Use the first date just to see if she's someone you want to see again. Coffee date sets that's up perfectly.
Here's what I did last Saturday on my first date with this girl...
Had her meet me at my place then we I drove us to a nearby Thai coffee house. Had some Thai Iced Tea on a hot day then I took he for a walk down the street to the local High school. No particular reason. I just felt like doing it. Then we squeezed through a locked fence, haha, and I took her to the Track and Field area. They had the High Jump poles and mats left out. So I got on top of the mats and started bouncing around. After calling her a sissy a few times she finally got on and started bouncing with me. We must have looked a couple of phucking dorks! hahahah. But it was cool. It was different, cheap, fun and allowed us to talk.
Just relax and have fun.

Yep ShadowDancer, that's cool, cheap, ORIGINAL and fun! Guys, take this as an example to be more creative...there are literally thousands of things you could do that combine the above factors...shadow's date combined them all well.
Keep the focus on fun and you won't go wrong...it sets your mindset to concentrate on this, rather than thinking about negative thoughts. Be spontaneous.
