Been going after this one girl for a while...haven't made any headway.

Today it dawned on me that she just ain't interested but now I'm feeling foolish. I should have picked up on her signals like 3 date attempts ago, but I decided to be persistent to see what might happen. Now I'm just feeling a bit embarrassed and bummed out.

The thing is she has been giving me some conflicting signals so I kept trying, only to have my calls and texts unanswered and like I said now I feel foolish. When I see her everything is cool...she went out of her way last minute last week to come meet me for a drink and yes, I have spent alone time with her and been in her bed...slight make-out, no sex. This **** is confusing....

I know I'll see her again soon. It's not going to be a big deal...I'm going to play it cool like nothing ever happened but...yuck.

Anyone ever get that "now I look like an ass" feeling?

Why do you care? You're a great catch and get attention from tons of women. You don't give a f*ck if some girl isn't responding to you. If a girl is playing games with you, you just go after some other chick.

Stop all contact with her and go after other women. If there's any chance of her getting back with you, this is the way it will happen.

As an aside, the fact that she keeps agreeing to go on dates with you despite 'not being interested' should mean she is interested to some extent (although that interest will keep waning the more you obsess over her).

I guess I care because I like her. But I know what you're saying.

And she isn't really agreeing to go on dates...I asked her out last week when replying to a text from her (after she told me she would be willing to hang out) and she didn't reply until the next night....24 hours later. She said sorry she fell asleep blah blah blah but maybe some other time. So last night I CALLED her. She didn't pick up so I left a message..."hey, let's get together, call me back and let me know when you're free". Something like that...pretty laid back imo.

She hasn't returned my call so there's no interest there, or very low interest if any.

I'm ok with that. What is bugging me is the nagging feeling that I'm being foolish for trying that many times.

Anyway, I'm nexting her but I feel embarrassed. It's weird.

Do the same to her as she did to you, go no contact and not answer text or calls. Let her know that she's nothing to you any more, these girls like to string guys along for their amusement, she's an attention wh0re. Don't need to feel embarrassed about it, glad you see the lights early on and not gone too deep into oneitis.
