Ok maybe you can help me with some thoughts. There is this former friend of mine who is an alpha to the bone. My guess is hes a real natural, a true little machiavelli-kind of guy. I guess im not better because I was a friend of his to learn from him. My problem is that whenever I met him while going out he "steals" all the women I am trying to game and I simply have no chance to compete with him. It breaks my frame some of the time and I haven't figured out a way to handle this.

Maybe it's my pride thats standing in my way but I have to admit he is doing much better than me. I've tried to compete, AMOG maybe in PU terms but hes a class above me. Good with rethorics, high energy guy and very witty. Any experience with this kind of situation?

quality or quantity

my friend used to match me when it came to dateing alot of girls. Like he dated more than me. Where as I alway would go with a quality hb10 that would come up every once in a while(which I still prefer this method today). It's better if you take it easy while he does all the work, some girl will eventually walk up to you at the party or bar.

Either figure out your own niche of girls that you are better than him or find a different playground and play until you are more confident.

Years ago, I would go out with my mentor, he's about 10 years older than I am. He was better in every way. But due to the age thing, I play a certain age range and he play his. Rarely do we choose the same girl, but if we do, he usually lets me go at it. A true friend.

The problem is that he is not really a true friend. I quit friendship with him 2 years ago but he still wants it back. I don't because he is a huge ****block, manipulative and controlling. Actually this guy wrote me a text calling me Judas when i was going to the movies with a group of people including a guy he didn't talk to at the moment. Sounds like a soap opera and it was just like that.

He's like a little Berlusconi and although he is younger than me he plays the teacher card. A master at reframing and a narcissist. I know I have to swallow my pride at some point but I am also sick of getting the "leftovers". I have a lot to do in terms of inner game right now, I know that. Geez it just sucks, lately.

your friends reflect who you are as a person and what you think about yourself...not only that they will influence your behaviour. So with the people that orbit around you you have to ask yourself does this person contribute to my life in a positive way.
