Why do so many women think that slender women are "unhealthy looking"?

I was reading this article about newlywed LeAnn Rimes. in which there is a nice sexy pic of her. Evidently, most of the women reading this think that she is too skinny and therefore unhealthy.

Is it that a proper looking, high sexual market woman is a threat to all the chunky women out there?

A lady friend of mine would always say the same thing. (BTW, she's 5'6" 260# now, and her husband traded her in for a woman at half the weight.) When an attractive woman would be shown on TV and the men would ogle, she would say, "she's not pretty!" But then when someone like Oprah would be on, "she's pretty!"

todd is right. it's jealousy. women who put on some pounds tend to say things about women who are skinny like they look malnourished or sick because they are "too skinny".

Actually personally I don't like the body type portrayed in that photo.

I like 'em built for comfort not speed. I like the curves.

But that's not to say skinny birds are necessarily "unhealthy". That's just my particular taste.

I actually agree with the assessment that she looks too skinny.

Women can and do hate on others out of jealousy, but that doesn't always mean it holds true if you don't agree with it. In this case, I can see what they mean, probably because I'm not a fan of model skinny women, it doesn't do anything for me without the curves that Sparky speaks of.

She's not going to make it as a Venus Swimsuit Model...but...she's got a much better body than 80 percent of the women out there....that's why she's hated *(by women).

Jealousy is the easy answer, but the root of it is really sexual competition management. Like any good propaganda, you've got to constantly repeat the meme until the message becomes socially internalized.

"Skinny chick = unhealthy" associatively infers that "Fat chick = healthy". In reality this isn't the case because men observably sexually select for in-shape (thinner) women against out-of-shape (fatter) women with such consistency that fat women needed to construct a social meme to be able to compete. When you can't win the game, change the rules.

And for the record, I would hit it with LeAnn Rimes until she stopped moving. I read she's a sex addict.

I'd never post a pic of my wife on here but she's exactly what I'm attracted to.

5'5", 110 lbs, 38/24/38....I like em petite.

She get's comments all the time from fatties who most always say she's skinny. They're simply jealous and would kill to have a figure like hers. Simple.

Remember.....fat chicks are difficult to kidnap.

There's nothing wrong with the assessment. She IS too skinny and girls ARE supposed to have 'curves.' That doesn't mean beer belly, but t!ts and @$$ are what the female form is all about IMO. If you prefer slim flat-chested model types, fine, but don't pretend there's something wrong with everyone else.
