I'm wondering from the more experienced posters...are they good for anything else?

I've dated two women and found that even during the good period at the beginning things were a hassle. I'm the type of person that doesn't like any additional drama in my life and it seems even the low maintenance women are full of it.

Around guys/family members and the like, you can be "yourself" and won't be judged (at least by real friends not user friends)...around women it's like you can't let your guard down at any time. Not to mention, most attractive women are boring/stuck up/have dumb interests and the like.

So is this what the object is...basically to do what it takes, beat the system, and get laid and not really care about anything else?
 

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Why not go after the interesting girls that can stoke your mind intellectually? Forget about the rest!

I dated attractive girls and was bored out of my mind. Now I only date girls that are serious about grad school OR has multiple interests in common with me. I don't have time for BS and boring people in my life. I am way too active for it.

Most women are not useless, but they are just boring (same goes for men). Think about the average college student who just plays beer pong and wants to just hang out with friends. Go out and gain some ambition :)

I made a thread about my problem related to this in the mature men forum here.

I think it comes down to experience. The more women you have the more you realize that they are really only good for looks and secks. Most women are useless.

What you are going through is a natural process from what I have come to understand.

You go through your afc process of seeing women as these angelic beings that you would love to have in your life.

You progress to getting better with women and the aura of goodness about them goes away after you experience more of them.

After you had enough of them and all the drama and trouble they bring to one's life or just out of getting enough to satisfy your fix you only start seeing them for their looks and secks. No longer do you feel the need to have a partnership with a woman you much rather go out with the buddies rather than spend time with a woman doing boyfriend/girlfriend "things." You only want a woman cause of her body and to bang her.

While this is a natural process I don't think most men will end up in the same state of mind. Some guys love to have a woman in their life as a companion. These guys were just meant to be a good "boyfriend" to a woman. They need to be around a woman all day, they need the emotional fix they get from being a couple with a woman and playing boyfriend/girlfriend roles. They're happy in this state and there's nothing wrong with it if it makes them happy.

Other guys just don't need or want to play the role of a boyfriend. Some might call them players and they might get a bad rap but when you think about it they are as manly and natural as you can get. Men naturally have an instinct to mate with as many women as they possibly can. It's natural, it's normal.

Some guys just want 1 while others want many and can't stay around with just 1.

Okay, on a serious note... if you've ever dated a girl that didn't do both, you'd know what I mean.

I think It's akin to a man not knowing how to fix the toilet or change a flat.

f28...I read your thread on mature man and it's funny how we're going through the same thing, only I'm a virgin (have done foreplay, oral etc)...but after dating a few women and knowing the realities of dating (good and bad, mostly bad lol) as opposed to the afc fantasies about dating I realize that I'm happy single other than the fact that I'm not getting laid.

I also realize I'm really only interested in women for their bodies and the idea of having sex with them. I mean, I'm not upset because "I don't have an emotional bond with a woman" I'm upset because I haven't been in bed with a naked woman and had my way with her.

But seriously, F283000 is so right. The more experience you get with woman, the less you think they are useful. As you progress from AFC to DJ, the pedestal you used to put them on sinks lower and lower until all you think them of is something to put your penis into.

This is a good thing however. When I was afc, girls were the most important things in my life. Now I can focus on more important things such as my schoolwork and my future career. I used to get so depressed over girls that I couldn't even find the motivation to do work. My emotions depended so much on how girls treated me that I was a complete wreck.

When you come to this realization, you also come to the realization that you have much more control over your emotions than you originally thought.
