I know because I was one of them. The overthinking. The paralysis. The silent drive home kicking yourself for freezing up. Watching average guys walk away with the girl while you stood there stuck in your own head.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Well, how old is he?

And lifting weights does not stunt growth. (Assuming that proper form is used, and he's not lifting 4x his bodyweight).

Im 15, and Im safely lifting weights.

Some gyms require you to be 18 or you can be younger if an adult is present with them. The one gym I started at let me start when I was 14, I still grew so I don't believe it hurt my growth.

If hes 15+ then I think it's good he started.

I still think just playing sports and learning good nutrition > early gym use.

Going to the gym is really a mindset. Once you have the foundation, and the drive/passion to REGULARLY go to the gym you will see great gains, assuming you start from a physically able and nutritionally balanced base.

So, in regards to age my take would be 18+. Generally an age when you're a much for mature person then when you were in your teens (Generally) and still young enough to adapt/learn new things as you grow.
