Im taking Amino 2222, anyways heres brief an article I wrote:

"Moving along to our number two supplement stack for teens is Amino Acids. I'm sure you've heard this millions of times: amino acids are the basic building blocks of proteins. We normally get them from fish, meat, vegetables, and dairy products (milk, cheese, ect.). There is a total of 22 amino acids of which are needed to build proteins used in the growth, repair, and maintenance of body tissues.

So, we can start to see here the importance of Amino Acids don't we? And there is a total of 9 amino acids that must come from our diet, because they are not produced by the body. This is why supplementing with amino acids is important. More so, when on a restricted diet (Cutting) because you may not be getting adequate amounts of amino acids. "

All amino acids are in your whey protein. The whey is essential. The pills are a waste of money.

You get all your ammino acids when you eat complete protien. That is the reason it is called "complete", it has the complete set of ammino acids. If you are eating sirloin, chicken breast, salmon, milk, peanuts, almonds etc you are getting all your ammino acids. And you can only absorb so much in a sitting.

But, there are thousands of "helper" chemicals the body needs to do its job, and it gets these isoflavanoids, etc from the foods you eat. Garlic alone, for example has over 100 useful compounds and some are only created through stress (chopping it up)

Humans arent that great at isolating all the chemicals you need. Studies have been shown that people taking increased vitamins though pills dont fare as well as people who increase thier vitamin intake through diet. We simply dont know everything there is to know yet.

Stop wasting your money on pills and eat quality food.

So why is it that many people recommend supplementing glutamine?

Optimum whey has 3 or 4 grams per serving built in and I do several shakes per day, but I add another 10-15g powder in my post workout shake.

Well, yes glutamine. Your muscles need more of that. I think because it begins the process of creating the proteins for the muscle.

Glutamine is a good idea, but that's not what amino 1000 is.
