I've developed what I think is dandruff. But it is most severe in my beard region of my face, cheeks and chin. I've tried pretty much every dandruff shampoo that is on the shelves I've also tried tea tree oil to no avail. At this point I'm just wondering if anyone has had similar problems and what might work that I haven't tried yet. It started a little over a year ago and I have been through a lot of stress and put on a bit of weight, is it possible that could be the cause? My last resort is to see dermatologist I guess.

I get this a lot in the winter. I think it's either the cold or the heating, or both.

Try using E45 cream as moisturiser on your face or if that's not enough, try Bio Oil. It's quite expensive, but lasts ages and is very effective.

As for your hair, have you tried the more specialist anti-dandruff shampoos from chemists? Or try using conditioner. Sounds bit gay I know, but better than having a flaky scalp. :)

You may have rosacea. I have it and it flares up once or twice a month, more so in cold weather. A prescription ointment by the name desonine will do the trick. It is steroid based however and can make the skin thin and sensitive with overuse.

Are you by any chance consuming lots of egg whites? If so stop it and
try high dose biotin.
