I had to shave my facial hair off because it had turned all gray. At that point I thought it was just making me look older.

I think women like the look of facial hair on a man (supposedly they like the stubble look best), it's a masculine look. But they don't like the way it feels when kissing, then they'd like you clean shaven. And they don't seem to like the moustache only look particularly for whatever reason. Maybe it just looks weird.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

I've been sporting a full beard since early spring and I gotta say it's made a drastic difference in the type of women I pull.

For starters I notice that it's almost an instant turn-off to butch females. They almost look disgusted when they see me. By contrast the type of women that gravitate are ULTRA feminine (short, petite, curvy and delicious). It's uncanny, but I swear the facial hair acts as a filter against feminazis with unshaved pits and BO, while letting in all the docile, pretty-smelling submissive types that I crave. Go f*ckin figure!

I've tried a number of different looks (goatee, manchops, mustache). What is working for me best is what I like to call a 12-o-clock shadow. It's a uniform layer which I keep decently trimmed (but not too well groomed that it don't look natural.) I'm scruffy, but not unkempt - and chicks dig it

Here is an idea of what mine looks like right now:

Whenever I have a beard / 12 o'clock shadow I get much more attention from the ladies than I get when shaved.

I usually have a beard and when I shave it off sometimes (for work etc) I notice a serious decline in eye contact / attention / smiles etc.

I think that there are two parts to this:

1) having a beard makes one look more masculine - hence more attention from females
2) therefore one perceives oneself as more masculine and actions start matching perception

Therefore I believe that I act different due to my self perception when I have facial hair.

Another important point, most males in big cities (and I travel a lot so I get to see most of the big cities in the USA) look like fags these days - no scruff whatsoever with a metro-sexual aura. When you have a beard you set yourself apart from the crowd signaling to the ladies that you are a real man.

I have a full beard with shaved neck and jawline. I'm babyfaced and women would comment that I look like a teenager even when I was in my mid 20's when I was clean shaven. I get a lot more attention with my beard.

Probably because you don't have your age listed in your profile, which you are supposed to have to post in the Mature Man forum.

Interesting replies....
I've had a short, trimmed beard and moustache exactly like Razor Sharp's photo for over a year now but haven't noticed a marked increase or decrease in eye contact or female interest.
In saying that, I haven't been inundated with calls by girls at work to shave it off either. However, one married female friend recently suggested I get rid of it because 'chicks don't want to kiss hair'.

So, I'm contemplating shaving it off to see if it makes a difference in the amount of female interest I get just as an experiment.

I only keep a beard because I hate shaving but try to keep it looking neat.

I shave it off every day and a half or so. It's 10X easier than worrying and wondering if I look "masculine," or not.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

What kills it for me is that my beard grows in gray now. There's only a few strands of gray here and there on my head, but the beard is usually the first to go gray.

Has anyone ever tried that "Just for Men" stuff? I tried it and didn't like it at all. It didn't color the gray that well and it colors the skin underneath.

I say embrace the gray, and embrace the beard if you dont mind having one. I like to have a week-long shadow and I just keep it at that length. More comfortable for my face.

I find most women like the gray hair (I have quite a few), but the full beard is about 50/50. At the end of the day it's your face so do what you like.

I have something like what johnny depp used to have with mustache and beard connected. I havent gotten laid by a fresh chick in over 2 years. I put on my beard and got laid twice by older good looking females in their mid thirties in 4 months or so. I wasnt even looking for the sex it just kinda happened im in my mid twenties. I do say that facial hair does make people respond differently to you (not sure if good or bad) perhaps its slight intimidation. One of the girls 1 1/2 days spent with her the other i had just met in the park and we were ****ing on my couch later in the evening. I really do think it does something as well and have gotten alot of great attention from it even though before i had one girls were like ewww or w/e i think it effects them biologically or something that your more masculine or w/e, less guilty to **** a man with facial hair? Women know facial hair men putout easier?

I only shave with a razor for the sake of work or business, basically when I'm trying to sell somebody something. Lately, that's hardly ever.

It's ten times better for your skin to just use trimmers to cut your beard to a short stubble. Razors cut you, dry you out, and if you happen to have anything contagious on your skin like a poison ivy blister, they cut the infected part and spread it everywhere. On a related note, it works the same way for guys who shave themselves down below. Using a razor makes you more likely to contract and spread STDs.
