What if you text someone and say, "what did you do last night", and they respond, "well I went to the movies with some friends," basically answering a question with a statement, and no return questions.

If you have nothing else to say, do you just quit texting, or do you say something like "cool?"

How about asking better questions which will lead to better answers?

Think of it like going on a date with a woman and asking her what her favorite food is. I'm sure she has only been asked this question oh I don't know A MILLION TIMES!

You gotta push the envelope that's what women are attracted to. Get rid of the nice and fluffy talk and have some conversations on subjects she isn't expecting you to talk about. Be different from every other guy.

I mean, what if you are just talking to someone, and ask a quick question, and they just say "yes." Do you just stop texting, or say something like "okay?"

You stop texting. When the answer is ok or cool, or i see, its unecessary to text.
Correct me if im wrong but I think you're lacking basic conversational skills, for ex. if they dont ask a question back you assume the convo is over. not good man. If they say they went out to the movies with friends, you can respond with something like "awesome i wanted to go to the movies last night too, what did you see?"
Learn to use the 'statement then question' format of conversation

What is the point of your interaction...

Remember: The meaning of your interaction is the response that you get. If you get a simple boring response - than you interaction meant nothing.

IF we want to play the "what if" game (instead of realizing that asking what someone did last night is cliche) then you can still work with "well i went to the movies with some friends"


Me: What did you do last night? (i haven't asked such a question in 5+ years)
HB: Well i went to the movies with some friends.


Now you can continue with your boriningness:
Me: Oh, what movies did you see?


or you can do something like insert a sexual innuendo:
Me: Oh, i didn't know you were old enough to see those kinds of movies.


or you can just not ask boring questions (but if you must; then by all means continue down the boring road)....

again, it doesn't matter. if she's into you - she'll like whatever you say. If she's not - there's not much you're going to be able to do through text. Best to meet up and try to change that (assuming you don't flake)...

Im shying more and more away from text. I KNOW women love it, but you can get so much more done being face to face with someone. You have so many more options.

There are some women obsessed with texting who will not allow rapport in person unless you can gain it through text. I realize this.... But could care less.... I'm actually considering getting text turned off on my phone.... People have no point to their lives anymore.... they just do social media and text..... but that's another rant for another thread.

You DON'T have CONVERSATIONS over text. Period.
