i got this email the other day from a girl i went out with twice.

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you but things have been crazy busy with residency stuff since I got back to town. I've been quite overwhelmed with all that's going on and I'm just not sure that trying to date someone is the best decision right now. I just don't feel it's fair to drag someone into the chaos that is my life for the moment. I hope you understand.

this was after i had sent her two emails and called her once in 3 weeks of not hearing from her(one email only said hope youre having fun in Florida.). when i got that email i only responded with "ok. good luck with residency." and left it at that. i knew she wasnt interested after not hearing from her in some form for 3 weeks. i say this because even when she was busy studying for tests i would at least get an email or a call from her. busy my @$$. shes a friend of mutual friends of mine. well they invited me to a cookout the other night. i took a girl i had started seeing after the girl im talking about....Ms Busy. well low and behold she's there with a guy shes seeing.haha funny how shes not so busy afterall isnt it? we see each other there, i say hey when she says hey to me but i dont go over and talk to her all night. whats the point? anyways my friends call me the next day and are telling me about how she said i was acting like such an @$$hole and being all stuckup. that i must have took her email the hard way. i mean really, you said you didnt have time to date me, so i moved on. then you showup with another guy and im supposed to go running up to you like i'm excited to see you? whats this all about?

You have been drawn into a typical example of how most women 'blame shift' and backstab , they habitually paint themselves as 'victims' of male behavior.
Get used to it - a lot of them do it their whole lives. It is a character defect.
In the end, you avoided dating someone who tells deliberate lies to portray herself as the 'faultless' one.

Ignore it - rise above it and do NOT explain your side of the story. She will find a way to use your reply as further ammunition against you if it gets back.That will just fuel the fire further.

In her mind she rationalized that because she send you that email with a wishy washy apology for her flakey behaviour that she absolved herself from any of the wrong doing she has done to you. This is an obvious learned behaviour that she has done in the past to chumps she didn't want to see and thus because they were cool with it afterwards, she thinks its the proper thing to do.

Good on you for not buying her sh1t and becoming one of her friendly chummy chumps.
