Master Don Juan
Long read, but please bear with me.
I am unemployed now, but I just received an opportunity of contract work in San Francisco with a decent pay. I have been thinking about whether to take this opportunity seriously, which means moving out, or shall I let it pass and stay here in Southern California. So I need you, fellow DJs and strangers, to give me some advice.
Option 1: Moving to a new location: San Francisco
Career/Money-wise:
The pros: $$. Decent pay, considering the economy. New connections. I will be staying for at least 3 months. If contract work goes okay, there's a full-time opportunity to work for the company. If not, I can always move back, or stay there if there are other jobs. After all, there's a lot more technology companies over there than down here.
The cons: I have been trying to stay away from jobs relating to computers or technology in general. Over the past few years, I have grown to dislike the kind of work environment it is providing. Sit and stay in front of computers all day, overtime, and so on. I hate it. I have been thinking of changing my occupation to something more that deal with people rather than machines.
Girls/Social Life:
My brother is living there, so he can hook me up with his friends and girls he know. He has intended to do so since a long time ago, I just never visited him long enough to hang out. So, in this matter, there will be no problem. New place, new friends, new chicks, new life.
Option 2: Put down the offer and stay here
Career/Money-wise:
The pros: I am my own boss. I have been enjoying managing my own time. Doing my own things. Kinda like running your own company. This is what I have been dreaming of.
The cons: No money. Right now, I am living off EDD checks. It's enough to make ends meet, but not enough to save up or change the world.
Girls/Social Life:
I posted this thread from a while back:

Though we no longer have any sex, nor do I care who she is dating/fvcking now, she's mentioned of introducing me to her girlfriends. She also wants me to take nude photography of her, since she's already that comfortable around me. But chicks being chicks, I can't guarantee any of those will happen. In any case, I still have my friends down here.
I have asked some people:
1. My landlord (or landlady if you prefer): She prefers me to stay. She always wants me to stay. I don't see any logic in her statement. Since we are no longer fvcking each other, I don't know why she wants me to stay. Maybe it's an emotional attachment or something. She can find a new tenant easily, and as a matter of fact, she's already got a backup. She knows that I am independent and not the type of person who like to work 9-to-5.
2. My ex. She also knows that I am independent, and she also tells me to stay for that reason. She is saying that moving out just to stay for 3 months isn't worth it. The company must offer better deals. I have proposed some alternatives that are more suitable for me, and now awaiting for their reply. She told me to wait until I hear something back from them, then make the decision.
3. My mom. She says to take up the offer considering how many people have been laid off and jobless nowadays -- this is a good opportunity. She cares only for the fact it's a job and you should take it when somebody offers it.
Myself: I don't want to go, but I need the money.
If you were me...or just tell me, what do you think I should do?
