Not exactly anything I wasn't expecting from your average otaku. However, most guys in Japan who are like this tend to be what the Japanese call "hikikomori". That is, they hardly creep anyone out because they never leave their homes. However, I really feel more sorry for this guy than I would your average hikikomori. If only because he's out in the open and this does creep people out.

Don't know about the vending machine. But I did see a video that these 'panties' were actually worn by guys running around to give it that 'sweaty' smell.
