I want to buy from an online wholesaler then sell it to my friends, neighbors...

i was thinking about new era caps..which my friends all like...giorgio armani/Boss belts, etc.

is it legal to sell these types of products?

i mean..these wholesalers seem to be random people that i doubt are official distributors of such items..so would it be legal for me to sell these things?

You're ok unless they are counterfeit designer items, which is very likely.

I do that on the side myself. Right now I have been selling electronic stuff. A lot of the name brand stuff out there is counterfeit which is of course illegal to sell. I don't recommend using any of the online companies. Their prices are really high. The industry is sort of behind the times and not really that accessible online. There are lots of online forums though where you can get info about wholesalers in your area. You are going to get the best deals going to some **** hole warehouse and buying pallets from them. Oh yeah, want to add one more thing. Clothes are a total pain in the ass. When you get them, keep in mind they have been sitting in a pallet so they will likely be all wrinkled up and ****. That means you have to go through and iron everything if you want it to look good. You also have to consider getting a mannequin if you want to sell it online, or some kind of display item. Another thing that sucks about clothing is often times, when you buy it wholesale like returns or something there is usually something wrong with it which you have to catch with a detailed inspection.

I tried selling clothing on ebay and it was also a total pain in the ass. Like 1 in 5 people complained about something completely stupid on the garment, such as a missing button or something when they paid like 20% retail. I would offer to pay for their shipping to send it back to me, but of course they expect me to ship them a totally new item while they keep the first one then of course they want a refund. So they are basically trying to get 2 items for nothing. There are a lot of idiots like that on ebay. Beware.

hey pie...i'm not thinking of selling huge amounts...my friend and i are still in hs..he's 18 i'm almost 17..

we're p[robably just selling to our friends and neighborhoods...not door to door but we have a huge network..and basically know lots of kids from every high school..so we were thinking of selling directly to everyone we know..and have them refer their friends to us..etc..

we just want to make a couple bucks...and we're not gonna sell clothes probably...just new era caps...which i'll probably take down sizes and styles from people before ordering in bulk..so like collect X amount of orders..then order...and i'll probably print out a catalog of all the selections/products we're selling...or making a site and poisting pics and our email..

the only thing is, i'm woorried that if we put a site, we make ourselves a huge target...cause if we sell directly...i doubt my friends or any hs kdis woudl bother to tell the cops about anything

just worreid about going to jail over this
