Advice please on Ex & Mutual Friends outing

hey all,

Split up with my g/f 2 weeks ago (Neither has made any contact) and we have quite a few mutal friends. one of our friends is having a night out as she is leaving for a year. my ex will be there.
my options are

1. Don't go incase my ex is there with a new fella which i guess will set me back. although i'm moving on quite well.

2. Go for one drink to say hello to my friends and don't care whether she is with someone or not.

What you guys think?

Just go. If you don't care much about her anymore, it should not worry you whether she's there or not. Besides, you may meet someone new there.

Your decision should be based on whether or not the friend that is leaving is of any importance to you. So if you think you want to see the mutual friend then you should go.

In case she drop by or you happen to bump into her, you should just say Hi. Or smile then do other things. There isn't to totally ignore and make things awkward. However it really depends on what happened prior to breaking up which I won't be asking so you judge for yourself. :D

Remember you don't have to give her any attention.
