...and it was awesome.

Here's my cliffs notes: I am an attractive, well-built guy with good Provider credentials. I have always scoffed at day game, firstly because I was raised that men are working during the day. That mentality has served me well. I have also avoided day game because it seems to generate no emotions, puts the ball entirely in her court, and makes you look like you have nothing better to do than chase girls. That's cool when you're 20, but we all have to grow up.

I've also had it pretty easy with getting women in bars/socially. I've coasted on looks and charm. But since coming to SS, I realized that as good as I am with bar/night game, to be a Don Juan is to push one's comfort zone. So I began to accept the possibility that I may have had an aversion to day game out of fear, what with no alcohol and the mystery of night for this tall dark n handsome to ride in on.

There is an HB8 at a coffee shop I've been going to for awhile who loves to stare me in the eye all the time. I'm usually on career point when I'm in there, so I've been pleasant but gave her strong C&F once or twice. We have had this flirtation thing going for about two months. In truth my intention has been to use her as a training device for the concepts discussed here, as I know her to have a kid and a chubby AFC boyfriend. It's a small city. I wouldn't kick her out of bed, though.

I have played the mystery card with her big time. All along, I never asked for her name, and her eyes lit up when she saw mine on a business card I threw into their drawing bowl awhile ago. Today from across the room I heard someone address her by her name. When I was leaving, she said "See ya Will." I stopped.
Me: Hey I remembered your name today
Her: Oh yeah what is it
Me: *her name*
Her: *indicated I was correct*
Me: Yeah so kudos for you. See ya later

She acted a little offput, but I was already out the door.

Was this too big of an a$$hole move? I am a recovering Nice Guy/Relationship Guy, maybe I overcompensated. But like I said, this girl represents a training device on day game for me. Is my wonder if it was too much A-hole just a remnant from my days in the Matrix?

In any event, pushing my comfort zone and throwing myself in the fire is the new SOP.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

I think it was a bit rude....hence her reaction. Your comments probably don't represent you as a person (which she is probably attracted to) and something you learnt from gaming 101 so when this incongruence came across she was thrown.

You guys are right. Window hit the nail on the head, incongruence. I think the real problem I ran into was I didn't know how (or whether) to game the girl who is working behind the counter, thought way too much about it and subsequently got my ego involved, viola! incongruence city.
